Animals were created to provide human nourishment? Just humans, then? No other animals. What about us? Were we 'created' to provide nourishment to animals such as lions and our other predetors?
-
LOL, I always find it hilarious and absurd how hard it is for some people to see the connection. Number one, I didn't compare meat eaters to slave owners. I made the point that, in the eyes of the law, killing a slave would not be murder. Now, of course, killing any human is murder, or at least assumed so until a verdict…

Can I help you?

Perhaps they do, but that probably has something to do with the fact that most people are theists. And perhaps my belief is cultural. Culture dictates that killing is wrong. I don't see the need to discriminate animals from that viewpoint.
-
So why can you have morals based on your religion, but I can't have morals based on my thoughts/feelings/opinions? Yours are somehow more valid because they're based on a book? (where does it say that abortion is wrong in the bible, anyway. Serious question)
-
Yes. And, *shock horror* I am against abortion. However, much like with my vegetarianism, I don't spend time and effort convincing people to not have abortions. If people ask me my opinion on it, or a debate arises, I will participate, but otherwise, I don't really mention it. But there's always going to be selfish people…

Yes. Isn't that the best person to ask this if I'm looking for a serious answer? "Immoral and evil" is what I'm focusing on here. What sources do you have that support that claim? Please know that I'm really serious here. I'm really interested in knowing why some people believe it's morally wrong to eat meat. [/quote] My…
-
Yep. Because being against suffering and killing is the same as believing/not believing in something no-one can prove exists. Of course it is. Just like being vehemently against child abuse is like being a bible basher. Of course it is.
-
^ You got it.
-
Sigh. So, you're asking an ethical vegetarian why she is bothered by other people eating meat? Well. I'm trying to be serious here, but come on. I believe it is disgusting, immoral and evil that we kill animals. Moreso that we enslave them, abuse them, keep them trapped in factory farms for life and then murder them (and,…

I included the 'slang' from urban dictionary. Look up. I edited the post.

mutt/mət/ Noun: 1. A dog, esp. a mongrel. 2. derogatory. A person regarded as stupid or incompetent. ETA; And from Urban Dictionary, for good measure; ". mutt 258 up, 126 down term used to identify someone as multiracial; pretty derogatory word for a multiracial person, at least in the eyes of someone who is multiracial…
-
Are you joking, or did you seriously just ask me why I care if you eat meat? ARE. YOU. BEING. SERIOUS?
-
I find mutt derogatory. I have explained why. If you don't, that's your business. Canadian and American is mixed now? Say wut?
-
But again, what biological point would there be in plants feeling pain? And if they do, what are we to do? Animals eat plants. Should we do twice the damage? And I don't care. Umm, meat eaters, don't you think it makes us tetchy when you guys say stuff like 'I love my meat' or 'I love dead flesh' or 'I'm going to enjoy my…

Because different 'races' mixing makes interesting babies. Because I'm biracial and like finding other biracials. It makes me feel more like part of a group. Because I am interested in the variety across this forum.

How does one begin to process the notion? By opening their mind, letting go of their ignorance and thinking with compassion. That's how.
-
That is the legal definition. What the law says, isn't the gospel. Not long ago, killing black slaves wasn't murder

Bloody awesome! I'll add to it; She was shaking. I suspect it was the sugar rush. She looked at me with hooded eyes, lucid even. Her lips, her juicy, plump lips, were parted slightly in anticipation. I saw the telltale mark of brown on her upper lip. I wanted to lick it off. I'd given her all my cheesecake, and I was…

Well, hello there. We share a side.

Thighs and arms.

I know. I looked it up. I was talking in terms of racial background, but again, I didn't make it clear enough. How many people on here really identify with every facet of their 'ethnic group', though?
-
Oh, right...
-
I guess I meant race. But race is supposed to be 'un-pc', so I said ethnicity. Where I'm from, when you mention ethnic groups, it's generally means race. On forms, it asks for ethnicity. It doesn't give countries - it gives race like (paraphrase, I can't remember what exactly the options are); Asian [] Caucasian []…

I knew it! Not wearing a bra today, then

I'm confused. Mutt = bi or multi-racial? Because Irish, Scottish, Italian etc = caucasian. So if you're a 'mix' of these, you're still caucasian. It's like saying you're half Ghanian and half Jamiacan (yes, I know lots of people who claimed this). You're still black. I'm not being *kitten*-y, just saying.
