28.5", but I'm nearly at 28" :) I would like to get it as small as possible while still maintaining my large hips. ETA; I started at 36" and my hips are currently 43.5" (started at 47")

I'm 5"5, 165.5lbs and a size 14 (UK sizes) in clothing. I am probably a 12 up top, though. Not sure, as I haven't bought new clothes. Size 16s are massive on me, though, so I know I'm a 14.

Sticking to my calories as much as possible. That, and patience. I started my journey 17 weeks ago, on the 13th March. I reached my halfway point (24lbs) exactly three months after that. To be honest, in terms of weightloss, I think it doesn't matter THAT MUCH. I don't really pay attention to my sugar, carbs etc, and still lose weight. However, I have noticed that, if I eat a lot of 'junk' in a week, sometimes, I won't lose. That, and my belly gets bloated. When I eat better, I seem to lose.

'Starvation mode' doesn't happen overnight. Anorexics eat even less, and get so skinny, they can die. However, eating too little isn't good for you. Do whatever works for you, but you can eat a normal amount of calories and lose weight. I've lost 30.5lbs on a diet of 1650 calories, and now 1450 :)

How apt. I just had a Mcdonalds meal. It was 1080 calories. I only have 20 left for the day. But I will eat dinner if I am hungry. I'll be over, but oh well. :)

I don't suck in, but I've always pulled the tape a little tight. As that's the way I started, I continue doing it this way :) Good luck with your journey!

I don't use MFP's recommended calories. I was losing fine on 1650. Now I decided to drop it 1450.
