More fiber (fruit and veg), lower the salt in your diet a bit, and take a magnesium supplement.

I second the Rodney Yee dvd advice, and would suggest that even if you cannot regularly go to a class, drop by one from time to time to help focus your self practice. I feel this is important as it's very easy to not realise when a posture is slightly off when doing self practice so having a teacher do light corrections…

I'm 5'1", and lose on 1500-1700, with an average of 8000 steps/day. I have tried 1200, and was constantly hungry and I just couldn't keep doing it and living life normally. Dropping to 900 a day is setting yourself up for failure, IMHO.

I've lived in the UK for ten years (first in Scotland, then in Wales, now in England) and as others have said, I walk tons more than I ever did in the US because it's easier to get where you're going on public transport or on foot than to drive (especially in London). Just going back and forth to work is about 7,000 steps.…

I'm trying something new just now. I set my calories at maintenance for my goal weight, with Fitbit exercise adjustments only, which is about 20 pounds away. I expect to lose slowly, as I'm not in a particular hurry, but this will allow me to not be terribly hungry and adjust my lifestyle to eating what I'll need once I…

Cook them in water for a few minutes, add some vinegar, swish it round, then drain, add fresh water and continue to cook until done. This takes the bitterness out.

The best way to avoid stress eating is to reduce stress levels. I did a stress inventory (you can find them on the web easily), and realised that while there were a couple of big things causing me stress, there were also a bunch of small things adding up to make the overall stress level too much. I couldn't do much about…

10 pounds is just one dress size usually, not much to take in.

I'm getting married in October, and two of my bridesmaids haven't yet given me their measurements for their bespoke dresses yet for this reason. The dressmaker can wait a little while, until early August, but that's it or they risk not having a dress and not being a bridesmaid. Both the woman making my dress and the one…

My experience has been that you can't out-exercise a bad diet. As an example, I had a weekend away with my fiance last weekend, complete with amazing meals out, drinks and just one ice cream treat, and despite tons and tons of walking over the time we were away, it will still take me a couple of weeks to get back to where…

FYI - it's really easy to overeat hummus in my experience.

My wedding is in late October - I'm looking to lose another ten pounds (I've lost 10-11 already) I'm having my dress made, and in 8 weeks will go for my first official fitting!

I think it was Maya Angelou who said, "When someone shows you who they are, believe them." I will add my own corollary, which is that if a guy says anything to the effect that they don't deserve you, aren't good enough for you , or that you shouldn't be with them, they are telling you the absolute truth and you should let…

I'm in the UK :) As the OP gives her weight in stones, I think she might be also.

If you're making it from scratch, a tiny bit of sugar cuts the acidity of the tomatoes - otherwise the sauce has a sharp taste that not everyone likes.

Because you are within the healthy weight range, and don't therefore have much weight to lose, you should aim for about a half a pound a week. Losing 2 pounds a week is really only possible if you are really overweight, which you aren't. Adjust your settings in MFP, eat back your exercise calories, and accurately log your…

I'm only 5'1" and can tell you honestly we shorties do not lose very quickly. It has taken me nine months to lose 11 pounds. Set your goal in MFP to lose 0.5 pound a week, and eat back your exercise calories (really, you need to do this as a shortie or your intake will fall below your BMR). Find out your BMR and never,…

My wedding is at the end of October! I'm having a bespoke dress made, and go for the "mock-up" tomorrow. Very excited about that! I'm trying to lose about a stone (though I could probably do with losing a bit more).

Try adding a magnesium supplement and a hot bath with Epsom or Dead Sea salts.

If your green tea tasted bitter, it was because you brewed it too long or used water that was too hot. The key is to let the water in the kettle sit for a minute or two after it's boiled, then only swish the bag round in the water for about 30 second to a minute max. And weight loss supplements are generally a waste,…

This. And report that trainer to the gym - that is inexcusable to push someone to that level of pain after being told you were feeling sick and dizzy.

I'm about that hip size, and I'm wearing a UK 10/US 6. At the Gap they changed the jeans sizing, so there I wear a 28. Happy shopping! (and congrats on your weight loss!)

We are all really glad you're in recovery, and that is why we are genuinely trying to help you.:flowerforyou:

Um, that sounds like 1382 is your BMR, not your TDEE with 5 days a week of exercise.
-
You did get some help, so listen to what they have said. Your goal is really too low. I'm 5'1" and would look frightening at 95 pounds. Now, are you eating back your exercise calories? If not, do that for a week or two and see how you feel.

And yes, pineapple does help with inflammation. It's the bromelain. You can buy the bromelain supplements as well, jsut make sure you take them on an empty stomach.

I had plantar fasciitis and now I don't. I had no choice but to do lots of walking when I had it (I live in central London so you have to walk basically everywhere). I even had to walk half an hour to get to the physio. Here's my advice for knocking it on the head: Firstly, get some epsom salts or dead sea salts and soak…

Sometimes when you reach a healthy weight, your body wants to stay there. You have two choices really, let your body adjust, eating around maintenance for a bit, or be patient and keep eating at a small deficit and let the weight come off really slowly. At 125, it will not come off quickly.
