At my last meet i did 661lbs. If it didn't happen on a platform, it didn't happen!

This doesn't even come close to making sense

This ^. Also, stop training your calves with machines, get a heavy weight on your shoulders (usually more than you would squat), put your toes on the side of a 2x4 and bang out some calf raises that way. Jumping rope one legged is also a good way to spur some growth into stubborn calves.

If you have to ask for other people's opinions regarding your self made strength training program then you aren't experienced enough to write a strength training program. Use a program that has been proven over and over again like stronglifts 5x5 or starting strength. While you are running this program continually try to…

Well, if you're donating to retired meerkats I might buy it... but not because of the book itself. I'd only buy it because meerkats are so adorable.

^This. You don't need to find the study, it's common knowledge amongst polysomnographers.

I am now dumber for having read that. I award you no points and may God have mercy on your soul. It's not moon glue lady, it's fat.

No, the fact that you expel liquid and deplete glycogen stores during a cardio session what means it's all in the OP's head.
-
It's all in your head. You might have a pump which will make you look a little more muscular but it certainly won't make you look bloated or swollen. Having a pump looks good.

If you can row it for 5 reps then it's WAY too light to use for your deadlifts. I do rows with less than half of what I can deadlift. Also, regardless of how good or bad your form is, you will feel the weakest link in the chain being worked the most during deadlifts. If you have strong spinal erectors and weak glutes then…

Let's keep the bar a little higher than that dude lol. I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that if you can't do 1 pull up/chin up you're not in pretty good shape.

You'd better stay out of my gym. Or else face public humiliation.

Yes, my friend, that's exactly what it means. *evil laughter*

Metroflex gym is in TX and has no A/C. It regularly hits triple digits with moderately high humidity here.

Rule #1: If you are caught curling in the squat rack you will be kicked out and publicly humiliated (as though being seen curling in a squat rack wasn't embarrassing enough) Rule #2: If you are caught saying "core", "muscle confusion" or any of the like you will be publicly humiliated (as though being heard saying…

I agree with Young_Gravy. There's no reason to use straps. Just slowly develop the strength in your arm

Lose fat. That's the only thing that will help

Lol, okay lady

This is probably the most blatantly untrue statement I have read on MFP.

No one's form on squats is fine unless they're moving something really impressive. I guarantee you if you post up a video there are MULTIPLE things that you need to improve on. No one's squat form is perfect, not even elite powerlifters' form is perfect.

I can't hit parallel without 315+ on my back. One trick is to sit back further and spread your knees wider. This will also help you to incorporate more glute/hamstring into your squat and reduce the range of motion a bit by minimizing forward knee travel.

Whatever program you will do consistently is the best for you. That being said, whether your goal is to look good, feel good or perform well, weight lifting will be the most important training variable.
-
That's ridiculous. I am also a singer (I don't work as a singer anymore but I do still sing) and a 315lb powerlifter. If anything, lifting has made my voice better as I now have a much more powerful diaphragm from performing the valsalva maneuver. It does not become more or less difficult for you to contract a muscle…

"obsession" is a word used by the lazy to describe the dedicated.

Eating healthy most of the time isn't "dieting" it's just being healthy but eating healthy all the time? That's a different story. It's hard to consistently watch everyone else eating pizza when you're eating tuna and salad with oil and vinegar. It sucks but we do it and that's why we call it dieting. I wouldn't go so far…
