Certainly difficult to respond to a brief description of a conversation but here are a few things that come to mind. Are you placing too much into a comment? Are you allowing it to feed into what might be the biggest culprit, your own self esteem? Have you considered/discussed the reasons why your boyfriend loves you? Have…

Wow, I bet you don't even recognize yourself. Looking great. No doubt, you are feeling much better too.

Wow, didn't get the anger mgmt. but see that others find it high on their scale. I am more in the belief of better health, body is a temple and I have ignored its care. It's not what it can do for me, but rather what can I do for it.

Good stuff. 38 lbs loss is good stuff too. The habit in going to the gym even better.Look forward to more pics.

Awesome responses, with good parenting skills. I want to add one thing as a grandmother I have/am witnessing presently. My adult children for whatever strange reason think that you can cut off the electronic access to children. You cannot. There are so many children with their own phones and other devices that internet…

I am fairly new to this and so others may be able to help with this better. My thoughts you should eat maybe 45% carb/45% protein and 10%fat after a workout. The carbs burn off and provide some bulk to feel full and the protein is for the muscles. You've done great!

What is the IIFM method and MFP201? Amazing difference with just 9lbs difference in pics. And by the way, the hair is attractive to some.

You look great. I have to thank you for posting. Seeing what you have done, provides a picture of what I have potential in doing. Presently I am at your beginning weight and so I still have a good way to go. But wow, you have done it!! Look forward to seeing you when you get to your current weight. I understand it gets…

As others have said celebrate in what you have accomplished. I have lost the same amount so far and to my surprise my body has morphed into some strange lumps and jiggles and more importantly it seems to change every week. Where once there was a large padding of fat is much smaller, which seems to accentuate another area…

Lots of great responses but I'd like to add one more thing. Whenever life puts too much on our plates to deal with and we are basically in survival mode, its real difficult to focus. My favorite saying is, "How do you eat an elephant? . . . answer: one bite at a time". Don't overload yourself in making new habits. If…

Lotion. I neglected my skin for years and gradually started using lotion. First it was just on my face but now it is any body part exposed ( arms, legs, feet, neck)

I actually wanted to hear someone mention it that I looked like I lost weight. It took 20 lbs before someone said something. I've kind of mixed feelings. I wanted to know others noticed but at same time don't want it to be a big thing. If someone says it looks like you lost weight, my answer is that I'm trying. I keep the…

I give myself permission to not be perfect. I am not always spot on with proper food choices, I don't always exercise the way I really would like, I have quick meal backups for those days I don' t want to cook. As someone else posted a cup of tea is my comfort food. It's okay to have an off day. You are doing something…

You look great. No doubt you feel it. Thanks for posting, particularly your numbers. Its helpful for those of us that can compare. Your previous weight and size is where I was at. I am also doing Zumba. Thanks for sharing and be an inspiration.

How do I feel good about myself? I take note of the little changes in my body and my abilities. It can be from I can bend over without hurting. I can go down stairs without feeling the knees hurt (as much). I can wear something smaller. I can think clearer. I believe my skin looks better. I find myself more interested in…

Oddly enough it was this week that I received two comments. I'm at 21lbs lost. Both from people I have not seen in a while. One my oldest friend that I talk often on the phone but do not get to see often. The other an elderly male customer. I particularly liked the elderly customers comment. He inquired if I had lost…

Love the pants photo. I could feel the difference in your clothes. You look younger!! Sounds like you have the right mindset in understanding the weight is not going to come off as quickly. You've proven you can do this. Keep doing what you've been doing!

You are not alone. I've lost 21lbs, at 235 now. I'm still wearing the same clothes, no size change. And that has been pretty much my feelings. Not really feeling it as of yet, although the loss is what it is. I've tried to think about 10lb mini goals, but that hasn't really brought about a satisfying feeling. Its more of…

Can't pick just one. But the secret for me has been if I eliminate something, I replace it with something else. I don't eliminate anything without substituting. Stopped using butter, use olive oil. Stopped using Splenda, use Truvia Stopped using milk, use AlmondMilk Stopped fried foods, cook grilled or stir fry Stopped…

I had three large friends and coworkers I shared the clothes with. They picked through and then the rest went to charity. Close that door of owning something to big. The nice thing from giving to friends, they see my wanting to loose the weight and two are making lifestyle changes. Mind you, I said little about loosing…

19lbs in 3 months. The dog pictured? 4lbs in 2 months. It's a family affair.

I replace a bad habit with a good habit. When the good habit is truly a habit and not a struggle. I pick another bad habit and replace with a good one. It's slow but it works. A few examples: used to drink sweet tea, now it is water w/lemon or herbal hot tea. Used to eat starchy veggies, now I chose low glycemic. Used to…

I weigh every morning. I can fluctuate up to 5 lbs in one day, so always in the morning. I tend to see the scale move more on Tuesdays, so of course, I like Tuesdays. I have wondered if I will change the daily routine once I reach goal ( which is a long way off presently)

click on search and type in kale. There have been lots of threads on kale. I was amazed of how many ways to enjoy it. My personal favorite is sautéed with onions and garlic. Then add cubed baked sweet potato. The recipe was written for a cold salad but I never can get past the cooking stage as we eat it the salad warm. The…

I won't debate if good or bad to drink soda. If you want to change a habit then subsitute if you cannot go cold turkey. I could not bear plain water past a half a glass. But I noticed, I really didn't need the cola or sweet teas with meals, as mostly the drink was just to wash the food down, clear the pallet and eat more.…

It used to be all starchy veggies, with lima beans being number one. It now is kale, which was a childhood fav that was revitalized. Enjoy kale chips and sautee kale with onion and fresh garlic, add baked cube sweet potatoe to the mix and I am in heaven. Fruit is granny smith apple. But fresh berries of any kind are yummy…

If you are not seeing an endocronologist then you might consider doing so. I gave my GP my Endo. files as he had passed away. Our town did not have another Endo. to see. Short version is that my GP played with my dosage so much I was either over medicated or under. As soon as a new Endo. established an office in town I…

I want to add to what someone else said about stop calling it a diet and make it a lifestyle. Sometimes the whole concept of eating correctly is overwhelming. It can be a major overhaul if you compare the change to what you have been doing. If the concept is to large you may need to approach it differently. How do you eat…
