  • I weigh first thing in the morning every day. I measure when the scale won't move fast enough, as it always points out a reduction. I don't measure but maybe every month and a half. Since I'm still in the obese range, weight matters to me. But I imagine as I get closer to my goal weight, the measurements will count more…
  • I wear Energise. The girls are secure, but its not a cheap bra. But it is worth it for me.
  • I have to agree that yoga has me more mindful of my body. The calories burned generally range from 100-150, just depends on my session. Must admit calories burned was the reason I started. Seemed to be an easy way to burn calories in morn X seven days. But turns out for me the flexibility and lessen joint pain is top…
  • I love this reply!! So ditto.
  • Welcome to the 200 club and here's hoping you won't be a member for long. Congrats!!
  • Self control is different for all of us. I couldn't do a cheat day for several reasons. I prefer flexibility in my food/drink choices. I counter balance with exercise. Understandably this doesn't work for some.
  • Sorry, reply further on. I submitted twice
  • It varies greatly with all of us losing weight. How much weight you need to lose and genetics (where we keep the weight) But for me at 255lb I wore size 22 jean (they were tight). At 233 I wore a size 18 jean. And TODAY at 217 I wore a size 16 jean. So I am averaging about every 20lbs. Hang in there, it will come. I know…
  • You definitely have much more definition. Back shot to me really shows your body shape changed. Appears more definition in shoulders. What are you doing?
  • :flowerforyou:
  • I stepped away from yoga about 8 years ago. I started back a few months ago with a class (just once a week). I ran across someone that is doing DDP yoga here on MYP and I decided to try it, as I was not happy with where I was at. My core, arms, legs . . . you name it just wasn't what it used to be. Like you, I wanted a…
  • Good stuff! Amazing . . . such a picture to take that we all can relate with.
  • I enjoy my elliptical. I'll get on it and zone out. Listen to music, watch television or jump on it when I'm mad about something. It is a my go to stress reliever. Working the body, helps the mind. Maybe the idea is to not find an exercise, but find an activity you enjoy.
  • I put on a pair of pants that I haven't been able to wear in ten years. They are snug but zipper went up easy. I'm moving from a size 18 to a size 16. YEAH!
  • You are so right, you are standing strong now.
  • Interesting thread. I am relieved to read the responses. I have too much knowledge of infidelity and truly thought the responses would be more in the supportive end of cheating. So glad it has not been as my friends and family have shown me it is pretty common. I agree with most, if a spouse cheats, they are going to do it…
  • Great story, great pics. Thanks for the inspiration. Always good to see what is possible.
  • I recently started DDP yoga and cannot do some of the modifications they suggest. It's not stopping me. Whatever the position is that challenges me I search for an even further modification. There are so many benefits in doing yoga, whatever style you chose in yoga, you will be so pleased with yourself if you give it a…
  • Many excellent replies. Since not every person is the same I'll add to the mix. Since my weight loss goal was so large I chose not to do a "diet". I went with lifestyle change as one poster mentioned. I picked one thing not so healthy and subsituted it with a healthier choice. When I felt I could handle another change, I…
  • This is too funny. What a great place to be . . . to small for your britches.
  • Ohhhhh, I want it all. Knees, collar bones, elbows I can see.
  • If the item is to big for comfortable wearing, it GOES. In fact, it is a celebration. Within a week they were boxed up and donated. I became more determined when my hubby and good friend suggested I keep the clothing so I'll have clothes when I get big again. My generally good supporters became doubters. So yes I remove…
  • Any movement that replaces sitting on ones tush is most likely an improvement. I do a mix of things and one of those things is Zumba once a week. Movement is a good thing
  • I had to add that I read your profile and it caught my attention about you wanting a Betsey Johnson dress. I am rural, blue jeans 99% of the time, but have to admit she has some really nice dresses. I even enjoyed the purses . . . and I only use a clutch purse for function, not style. I wanted to thank you for reminding me…
  • Congrats on the 31 lbs. I think I felt a change, however slightly, at 15lbs in how my pants fit. At 23lbs someone that doesn't see me often commented that I look like I lost weight. At 25lbs I went to the next size down. However, that same size is tight in some styles. You have the right attitude, stay on track and that…
  • 1. Yes 2. 30lbs 3. With my lifestyle, my appetite, I would say yes. "Why?"- developing habits, keeping energy level up until I can grab lunch. And I am hypothyriod, so metabolism is already a challenge.
  • Subsitution. I used to drink sweet tea with meals. Now I drink water with lots of lemon. Pick something and subsitute it with something better. Fried foods replaced with baked or grilled. Beef is replaced with chicken and fish, the list is long.
  • Congrats on the new and stronger you!
  • How to eat an elephant? one bite at a time. Otherwise, how to attack a big problem, one thing at a time. If you are feeling overwhelmed, then don't look so far out that it is overwhelming. Pick one thing you can change. Something that improves your health choices and do it. Make it a habit. Then in about three weeks more…
  • How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time. For me I pick one thing and subsitute it with another. This will be different for each of us. I have not approached weight loss as a diet. I pick one thing to change, subsitute it with something healthier, make it a habit and then pick another thing. For example: no coffee, I…
