This! Always measure inches, not weight. Many MFP users do not measure weight until after they've lost some clear inches, because muscle puts on more pounds than fat. Good luck, you'll be fine!

This thread made me laugh & smile so hard. I wore lingerie on our 3rd anniversary. We showered together before going out to eat & I changed into it in front of him. I even had him help me put things on. It kept the anticipation up all night -- pun not intended :happy:

Oatmeal made with water, containing bananas, raisins, & cinnamon! I only have it three times a week, but it's my FAVORITE breakfast. I eat egg whites with toast & veggies on other days. :flowerforyou:

I always spend $30 a week on average for my groceries! Don't be afraid, try it for a month. I would suggest using each of the coming months to decrease from 1900 until you find your ideal spot (1900 December, 1800 January, 1700 February, etc.) I just increased mine & like many others, it was the best choice that I ever made. I haven't measured myself (Day 24) because I won't have a tape until tomorrow, but my arms & legs have gotten muscular, my stomach is smaller, & my jeans are getting loose! I love Level 3, it's so much more of a workout than Levels 1 & 2, I wasn't challenged by them! Glad to see that you did well, congratulations :heart:

Eat a net of 1500-1600 calories every day & your pounds will fall off. If no changes after 3-4 weeks, go up to 1600-1700 net. Follow Dan's 'In Place of a Road Map'. I just started eating >1200 (net 800) recently & feel a difference. Eat 1500 net & see how it feels! Adjust every month based on how it feels; no changes, try 1600. Still none? 1700. If you have nothing at 1800, go to 1400 net -lowest-. Better yet, 1450. Good luck! :heart:

When my fiancee is around (once 1-2 years), we go out to eat nearly every day. We've made it a goal to find healthy-choice restaurants & cafes to go to next visit! Just add something small that has a lot of cals: nuts; PB to fruit; cinnamon to your breakfast; more veggies at dinner; etc. I'm the same, so that's how I've 'bulked' up my foods without overeating. It's helped a lot!

Yesterday! I've been doing net 800-1100 for a month (misinterpreted MFP's system). I told myself that there was no physical way that 1200 could be enough, even if I felt satisfied by dispersing food. I bumped to 1750, read IPOARM, & got ~1400 net! I'll have a better goal starting tomorrow when I learn my TDEE & BMI. :heart:

How do you manage to keep carbs so low? Do you eat very little fruit? I eat a lot of fruit; it's the only reason that I go over my carbs daily.

This happened to me when I was 16. I started eating Cheerios & bananas (these became a staple to my diet until I gave up cereal a few weeks ago). I did not eat ANYTHING like mayonnaise, hotdogs, other things with fat. I ate as lean as possible & stopped eating fried foods altogether. I also started exercising at that time.…

I just finished Level 2: Day 16! Not as bad as what everyone says, though I'm hoping that I have real results. My biceps & legs are more toned & muscular, & my stomach seems to be a bit flatter, but not as flat as I would like it. Doing 6 Week 6 Pack afterward! I'm not anywhere close to having kids right now (at least 10 more years), but I have thought about this before. No calorie/ macro counting until 15-16 (aka moving from general intramurals to fitness & team playing), but they will -always- be eating healthy in my household & making the right food choices from birth on.
