There is a fabulous book written by Brendan Bazier called "Thrive" and it includes many vegan recipes, as well as how he follows a vegan diet and balances this with his ultramarthon (freaking long) career. Definitely worth the read.

Don't be hard on yourself, 60lbs is no small feat. It's not a race and all that really matters is that you keep moving forward because each small step or positive choice you make brings you closer to the finish line.

Thank you so much, and yes I have 50ish pounds to go. I am still at the very top of the BMI overweight range for my height. I am only 5'5" and currently weight 175lbs and would like to weigh in the 130s. I am just lucky to carry my weight well and black is slimming.

What a difference, you look great!

I've posted my progress pictures before but my daughter snapped these pictures of me today, and I was so excited because I can finally fit into this outfit that was hiding in the back of my closet. On the right, 105lbs lost and 50lbs to go until I reach my goal (Yay! 2/3 way there) and on the left weighing in at 270lbs (my…

I've been donating all my clothes as I lose weight. I do not want any execuses to be able to fit into my fat clothes again. Granted, it's been a bit sad when I am donating basically brand new clothes every couple of months, but I'm worth it (all those postitive affirmations)! I've only held onto 1 pair of fat jeans so I…

Oh, how exciting, running becomes quite addictive. I am running 5X a week for at 5.3km (my loop is wierd and I wanted some hills. I just started being able to run the entire distance with the exception of the 3 big hills. In a few weeks I hope to conquer them too.

Ahhhhh, is there any really sweeter sound than the whir (okay maybe the jet engine turbo charging) sound of a Vitamix, I don't think so. I heart my Vitamix. I have both the large and small container and find myself using the shorted on the most because it is just me and my daughter and it fits under my cupboard on my…
