If you know you're were at 4 or 5 I'd just start at 4 again.

A 100lbs is not really all that much. I would really reconsider any type of procedure. Those surgeries are not a quick fix or end all be all. You still have to look at why you are having issues. Why are you reverting to old habits and gaining weight back? I have a friend that did surgery and although she'd had success she…

Do what you want. Decreasing you intake is greatly advised but it doesn't mean you can't ever have it again. It's your life, do what makes you happy. I stopped drinking soda on a regular basis last fall when I started my journey, but I still have one periodically. I drink regular, I would never touch diet. Those artificial…

I'm shooting for a Ruby.

Now this is a challenge I can get behind. I'm in. How do we go about this? Should we post our times on here?

One day will not make or break your journey. Don't stress about it. It's your birthday, have fun and enjoy. And remember, each day is it's own. Don't freak because of this one day and then starve yourself the rest of the week. That is not constructive nor healthy.

I think you should stick to cardio. Your body needs a day off from weights between workouts.
-
That's how I feel too. I took my measurements last week during my break week and I'd gone up but I quickly measured my waist yesterday or the day before and it was back down so apparently our measurements fluctuate too.

I just found a website that I think can help you determine the best weight range for you. It calculates your range using your frame size. First find out your frame size, small, medium or large and then punch that info in and it gives you your ideal range. http://www.superskinnyme.com/ideal_weight_calculator.html

If you have your calories automatically calculated through MFP then you want to eat back your exercise calories. MFP already has a built in calorie deficit depending on what you choose for desired weight loss(1/2lb, 1lb, etc). Your body needs fuel to operate efficiently and if you don't give it enough food you'll be…

Well, I'm going to give workout B another go today. Wednesday was my first time doing it and I so did not enjoy being in the gym that I said screw it before I was even half way done. Wish me luck.

^^ This. If you aren't practicing healthy normal eating and are starving yourself then yes a week of "normal" eating will affect you. You need to relax and just do the best you can and enjoy yourself. One week is not going to ruin your life. Don't put that kind of pressure and stress on yourself. Your life doesn't depend…

Check out this article I just found. It gives some good answers to multiple reasons why you may be cold. Short list: you are anemic, too thin, thyroid issues or don't have enough muscle mass. http://www.drweil.com/drw/u/QAA400220/Why-Am-I-Always-Chilly.html

I make everything at work. I toast bread or english muffin, microwave 1 egg for 20secs in a bowl then top the egg with a piece of cheese and cook for another 20secs. Cut the toast in half and I've got myself and egg sandwich. Sometimes I'll add a meat sometimes not.

Yes. That's why I usually only buy 2-3 at a time. Kiwi came to my mind first because I like them but when I eat them I get that tingling sensation behind the ears. You know, that feeling you get when you eat something tart and sweet. It's so annoying. Red raspberries is another. They go bad in the blink of an eye. I get…

This. You can't be comparing yourself to others as we all have different genetic makeup and you can't change that. I will never have ankles....I have cankles and no matter how small I get that won't change. You have to realize what you can and can't change. If you can't then you have a more serious problem and you need to…

Hmm, you've got me stumped. The only thing I can think of is perhaps it just water weight. The extra HIIT may be added intensity that is causing your muscles to retain water. Maybe try backing off a little to give your muscles time to rest.

I agree that it's good you're going to the dr.

I agree. If she isn't willing to show you proper form I'd look for someone else. She is supposed to be giving you instruction on things you ask about and it sounds like she doesn't really understand weight lifting. To have a trainer say you don't want to get bulky is kind of a red flag for me. Not all trainers are the…

Squats. I don't understand the benefits of deadlifts.

Well, I start stage 2 today. I'm a little worried as I didn't get a lot of sleep last night. I was pretty tired and seemed to be continually achey by the end of stage 1 so I'm a little anxious about stage 2.

Just because SOME people use anything they can grasp onto to use as an excuse doesn't make the science behind the idea wrong. If someone wants to make excuses about not losing weight they will do it no matter what. You can't discount an idea just because others abuse it. To OP, I found this info a couple weeks ago and…

Coconut oil is fairly good but there are no magic pills, serums or oils that will help you lose weight. Coconut oil in moderation is fine just like vegetable oils but it is higher in saturated fats so if your cholesterol is a concern I'd stick with Extra Vrigin Olive oil as your mainstay. Coconut oil is good for higher…

Nope. To change your specific calories and macros you go go to the Goals tab and then choose to change them manually and you can punch in any calorie goal you want and you can change all your macros too. A couple additional tips if you are going to start lifing. You need protein. I would suggest around 30% of your macros…

Lol!!! Yep. I haven't done places like Mcdonalds or Burger King in probably a couple 2-3months. But Taco Bell is maybe once every couple weeks. I had a local place called Culver's a week or so ago. I make better choices when I do eat at these types of places now though. No more bacon cheeseburgers with a huge fry and soda.

I suffer from chronic headaches and low grade migraines. Yes, gluten could be an issue for you but you would have other issues if that was the case. I went to an allergist to get tested and I suggested the gluten thing and that is what he said. If I'm not having bathroom issues after ingesting breads etc then it's not…

I agree here too. Stick with the weight lifting and 22lbs in 4months is not anything to sneer at. That's more then an average weight loss. I'm at 7mos and only 21-22lbs(not lifting the whole 7months) A couple tips with the weight lifting: 1. You need to give your body a day off between lifting....that means any weights…

Thank you OP for this post. This is exactly my current question. Looks like I will stay the course and just keep upping my weights and get lots of protein and add a little additional cardio.

I am so glad to see this because I was thinking the same thing. I thought I was doing pretty good with a deadlift of 85lbs, squat at 75, and lunges at 36(which killed me).
