Even though I know these aren't great for you, I totally needed a chocolate chip cookie this weekend, and these turned out so good that I had to share. This recipe made 36 cookies. 1/4 cup unsalted butter 3/4 cup brown sugar 1 egg 1 1/3 cup bisquick heart smart 8 oz dark chocolate chips Mix butter, sugar, and egg. Stir in…

I have gotten tons of compliments on this recipe... I watched the lady make it at Adobo Grill and tried to follow the same recipe and techniques. 1 avacado 1-2 cloves garlic 1/4 small onion (or more if you like onion) hand full of fresh chopped cilantro juice of 1/2-1 lime Salt Mince the garlic or press with a garlic…

This was really good. My fiance doesn't like mushrooms so I just used spinach and seasoned them with grill seasoning and a little crushed red pepper. He usually doesn't like when I add weird stuff to normal food, like adding the spinach, but I made small patties and he had two.

I used to have a recipe for a similar raspberry chicken salad. I marinated the chicken in the raspberry vinagrette and raspberry vodka. It was so good!!

I love to have a whole wheat tortilla with apple slices and pb. I bet that would be great as a quesadilla! If I'm really craving something sweet I'll add a little drizzle of honey.

This can either be fairly healthy or very bad depending on the ingredients you use. I got the recipe from a Southern Living cookbook called 5 ingredients 15 minutes, but changed a few things. My friends go nuts over this! Chicken Ceasar Sandwich 1 loaf italian bread (you could use a whole wheat bread) 1 chicken breast…

I haven't tried this, but this blog has a lot of gf recipes. In this one she uses a box mix, but cooks it in the crockpot. Maybe it was the mix or maybe cooking it in the crock pot made the bread better. Anyway... good luck! I know I could not function without bread!…

So... I know this isn't some miracle discovery, but this is my new favorite lunch! I'm going to play around with the veggies and dressings to keep it interesting. I ate it with a 2% mozz string cheese and a kiwi fruit for a very filling lunch. Whole wheat pasta keeps me full for much longer than regular, plus I really…

At my last job I didn't have my own office that I could close myself into, so I had to get out of the office for lunch. One of my favorite meals was to go to McDonald's and have a grilled chicken snack wrap and a side salad. You can also throw in some apple dippers or a parfait and still be pretty low cal. All these are…

I think it depends on what you're doing. I just count the yoga as it comes up in the system, running in place, too. Now, my favorite is the hoola-hoop!! I count that as dancing! haha

Have you tried 2% cheese? I think it's delish!!

I'm not sure how old your brothers are (and their maturity level will be a part of whether or not this works), but I would suggest you just explain to them how important it is for you to live a healthier lifestyle. I would refrain from saying diet. If they know how important it is to you, perhaps they'll be more likely to…

I have one of the videos and I always just log it as "Dancing, aerobic, ballet or modern, twist" with how long I did it. What a great exercise video! So much fun!!!

I know this post came up a long time ago, but I just came over it again. This website, http://crockpot365.blogspot.com/, has a lot of gluten-free recipes. Many of them aren't really for dieting, but a few of them are, and there are many that could be altered to be diet-friendly. The best part is everything is made in the…

If you guys try them tonight let me know how they turn out. I won't be making them until later this week.

I was just looking for something new to do with zucchini and found this recipe on the Food Network website. I plan to make it later this week, but wanted to share because it sounds so good. It's in under "Food Network - Ellie Krieger, Zucchini Parmesan Crisps". Let me know if you try it and how it turns out! Enjoy!…

For tortillas you can use corn tortillas. I tend to go for them more often anyway because I like the flavor.

I'm not sure how you feel about salmon, but I like to make it in the microwave. I've made it like this for my girlfriends and they all loved it, too! I just melt a little butter (I use I can't believe it's not butter - light) in the bottom of a microwave safe dish, put the salmon in with a little lemon juice and lemon…

This sounds SO good! I love stuffed peppers so I'm totally making it! Thanks for the recipe

Try Target for a cheap stability ball. I got mine from there and it's pretty nice.

Green peppers and mushrooms! Yum! I also like to vary from just the regular side salad and play with different fruit, cheese and nut combos... bonus points for making your own vinagrette

Mediterranean Beef Stew 2 small zucchini cut into bite size 1 lb beef stew meat 1 can italian style diced tomatoes 1 tbs cinnamon Salt and Pepper to taste Combine in crock pot and cook on low for 6-8 hours... I leave it all day when I'm at work. I don't remember the nutritional info, but it was pretty light. It's from a…

By no means am I a nutritionist, but I think the recommended calories is based on how quickly you want to lose weight. For example, I want to lose 1 lb/week so I should consume 1500 calories/day. If I wanted to lose 2 lbs/week this recommends I consume 1200 calories/day. The recommended extra calories from working out is…

I have spent a lot of Sundays at my local BW3 watching football and when I'm trying to watch what I eat I'll have the naked tenders. You could totally make them at home and they would be a good football snack to have at your party! Basically they're just grilled chicken tenders with buffallo sauce for dipping.

Lean cuisine paninis rock my world!! Okay... maybe not, but they are really good. Pair them with some fruit or veggies and they make and excellent lunch.
