This is what its all about: discipline, exercise, rest and nutrition. Your results speak for themselves, and you must feel great! I am new to crossfit and enjoying the results already too. It is so rewarding - and proof that fit is fit, not skinny :D

How do you know how much nutrients of each you need? - what are the reputable sources for this information as everyone is different with different bodies and lifestyles?

I figure the closer you are to 0 the more successful you'll be. Going to ignore the colour.

They turn red every time I exceed them and I figured that was bad news! :noway:

^^^this - and on here you are getting the best advice from experienced people for free!! What a looser, and what a loss for him - your loss is definitely not his gain! lol

Very thinly sliced steamed cabbage makes a really healthy alternative to using rice or noodles in more traditional dishes like spaghetti or sweet and sour chicken when you want to keep the calories/carbs lower. I slice the cabbage down through the stem and slice up half the head into thin slices before separating the…

It's nothing personal to my existing network just that I appreciate that I can't give enough support and get enough by return at the moment. I'm hoping that increasing this might help with that. Thanks, I can relate to where you're coming from. I have tried so many different ways of loosing weight before but this is the…

It's like the person asking has a right to know and enquire!!! They don't seem to consider your right to privacy and that even if you were then it is information that you would want to offer, not be asked for. I have been asked too many times, and on the flip side often wonder when/if someone might eventually ask how much…

Anyone drink sugary drinks day in day out and have no fillings? Y'no just sayin...

I am taking an unbiased perspective but to anyone reading this, referencing your information sources when you post this information would support your claims, unless you are talking from evidenced first hand experience.

I have recently started crossfit and the facilities are ace for quality of equipment but I wanted something that would give me the capacity to practice at home - no kipping, don't worry, so no jumping the bar off the frame. This should be great for toes to bar and similar hanging around stunts though hopefully

Thanks both, we have stud walls and need versatile use of space so a temporary structure would probably work best. It comes down to physics with how load bearing our walls are. I am 5'6", currently 158lbs and going down, endomorphic, and aiming to shed fat and build muscle. Hubby is 150lbs, 6'1, lean, and building. Think…

I offered to grab the extra weight I have lost in products from the kitchen to weigh the difference but he wasn't keen

My husband was noticeably shocked at the weekend when he offered me a a seat on his knee as it was apparently a lot more comfortable for him that it used to be - although I have apparently developed a notably pert/albeit boney bum!!!

Loving how everyone jumps in to help out with posting the image here, and wasn't it worth it - you look great!

Bump to read for later - this is really useful and something that I am just starting off with trying to get a better nutritional/energy balance. To those of you that are doing this please can you add me as a friend as I would really appreciate your guidance/support in setting my goals. Thanks, Helen x

Welcome aboard!

Cycling is great for low impact exercise. I have been advised to do this to strengthen my knees as going from a desk job to building my leg strength (I mainly walk!!) has given me some irritation there. Let us know what you decide on and find what works for you!

I go through phases - sometimes I am fine with having the stuff about, then if it hasn't appeared in a while and I haven't asked for it to be 'mine for later' from the cupboards then I do nothing but want more - so selfish! Sorry I am cringing writing this but it is unfortunately true :noway:

That's what I want to do and then plan something in for each day literally until I get bored of it or change my mind. It's worked so far. Hubby isn't having any of it though :( I might just get stubborn on this one - silly him anyway for thinking that you can ever deny anyone chocolate, pft

- Sleep - eating to stay awake is too easy - Drink green tea to support your metabolism - Drink peppermint tea to aid digestion - a groggy digestive system leads to lethargy - If your glass of water is empty then fill it up - if i'ts full then you're not drinking enough - Eat by routine so your body know's when to expect…

I think the best feeling is knowing for myself, not necessarily having other people notice, but it is nice if they do. It's the best feeling ever knowing that efforts are paying off. Even if my weight hasn't shifted then I know that my confidence is growing just by taking more care of me, which helps me take more care of…

I have left the MFP macro values as defaults as I wasn't sure what a sensible alternative would be initially but I am gradually learning more. Since the beginning of this year I have stopped binge eating to stay awake and taken an interest in balancing my health as you will from my profile. I seem to be better with more…

the question was about fat

I usually access my diary through the android app on my phone which also enables me to track fat, protein, and carbohydrate, separately as either stats or percentages across the day using the summarised view for either daily or weekly intake. I am currently at the PC so have updated my default tracking settings so you…

This look is great on you - and all in 30 days! Great going, you should be proud of your achievement - you're proving that those abs can't stay hidden forever! :)

You might be surprised to know that few people see binge eating as a disorder but it is a compulsion as difficult to break as any other. From your post on here though you can see that you are making huge headway by recognising it. I find that I have got better at avoiding binges by stabilising the number of calories I eat…
