Your calorie goal is based on...well...calories! So yes! You need to log all of your food and drinks, not just certain ones.

That kind of thinking is called a defeatist attitude---you bring yourself down so low with negative thinking that you actually make those thoughts come true. Give yourself positive reinforcement. How about instead of telling her how many calories her lunch should be, you either give an example or don't? Sheesh, people. A sandwich made with two scrambled eggs (cooked with non-stick spray) and some lower-calorie bread with a piece of fruit/fruit slices/a low-cal yogurt? I have that and it's usually under 300 cals.

I learned that when I got cravings, it was always for something warm. That's why fruit and veggies never seemed to do much for me. Try pouring a cup of store bought no sodium added vegetable broth, and microwaving it about 90 seconds. It's 15 calories and satisfies more than you would expect!
