you could also just eat fewer calories than you burn
-
Unless you're doing competitions and need to maximize every gram, it's just whatever you like better.

The best tasting I've ever had is PE Science, and I've tried almost everything. But as many will tell you, protein powder doesn't help you lose weight, and none is better than any other for weight loss beyond its ability to keep you within your calorie goal.
-
Just find out the number of calories that keeps you at the weight you want to be, and keep eating that many calories. That'll usually be the amount of food you were eating as you got to your goal weight and your weight loss started slowing down significantly
-
If you feel guilty about going over your calories, and that causes you to eat even more, that's a whole different issue that avoiding the calorie of counting isn't going to address.
-
I don't think it's a matter of trust as much as it is recognizing these have to be extreme estimations.. X grams of "pizza" could contain an infinite number of ratios of various toppings, crust, cheese and sauce. How could it possibly be accurate?
-
It's not like they're a giant investment.. I got a good one from amazon for about $30, it definitely helps move the dough around on the stone as it's cooking.
-
If you want to lose weight, you have to allow yourself fewer calories than you burn.. it'll be the same number if you're doing Keto or not
-
second the 100 calorie jerky pack idea.. they started putting those out where I work recently. I ate like 3 of them which kind of defeats the purpose, but still
-
meat is basically just protein and fat.. whatever meat that has the lowest fat% is going to give you the most protein for the fewest calories regardless of the animal. Egg whites are the easiest though, as others have said.
-
All that matters is you consume fewer calories than you burn. Cutting out calories from any kind of beverage is a great way for many people to help achieve that.

to be fair though I'm pretty sure the interviewer wasn't interested in Jillian's taste in music, and the question was part of a larger conversation about health. I think if anyone should be called out for rudeness it would be the interviewer for bringing Lizzo into it.
-
Apparently, it is a universal question. If you're trying to be that precise with measurements, it doesn't seem like it would be that useful unless you have jerky that is the same size, shape, and density as a kraft single.

every years-old fad diet thread is magically getting resurrected by 1-post wonders on New Year's Eve
-
You don't think the member with one post legitimately found a random thread about an obscure diet they happen to be on from 2 years ago?
-
safe to assume he meant the guest, as he'd be the one with the agenda worth questioning in this case. the producer of the podcast's agenda is getting downloads and making money with his podcast

I feel like the relatively few people who are actually offended by this ad are just projecting their own insecurities onto the wife. Assuming she's doing it to lose weight, assuming her expression is of fear, assuming her husband got it for her because he doesn't approve of her in some way, and/or assuming her life should…

just because their stock temporarily dropped doesn't indicate whether it was intentional or not. Companies make bad moves all the time. Also just because their stock temporarily dropped doesn't mean it was a bad move in the long run.

Anything works as long as your calories in are fewer than your calories out. I basically eat one giant meal per day..
-
Inulin powder from Bulk Supplements on Amazon. It just adds a very lightly sweet flavor to anything.
-
There's no need to punish yourself or cut out specific foods. Eat the food you like. Just make sure you track your calories to make sure the calories in stay lower than the calories out. You'll lose weight.
-
It's better than none, but I wouldn't call it "big." for me the 8 grams or so isn't worth the 100+ extra calories over unsweetened almond or cashew
-
I think your overall goal should be to learn to indulge once in a while without going off the deep end. The "all or nothing" attitude only gets you in trouble in the long run. I've watched my Dad yo-yo my entire life because he can't shake that outlook.
-
I use it all the time. of course it's not as good as the real thing but it's a great replacement. even better if you mix it with almond milk or something rather than water. and PBFit tastes much better than PB2 IMO
-
You mean I can't drink a gallon of Metamucil every day and be keto?
-
No one single food is "bad" unless it's spoiled. Your overall diet can be pretty bad if you eat too much of one thing, or too little of something else.
-
Right.. if you're taking from a total of 3000, you can't go over 100% unless you also go over 3000.
-
PE Science is the only one I've found that tastes excellent even when mixed with water. Actually good, like you look forward to drinking it.

A lot of it is crap. I've heard the former MMA guy on a few podcasts making outlandish claims that go so over the top, it's difficult not to dismiss just about anything else he says. I see nothing wrong with adopting a vegan lifestyle, but don't tell me it's going to result in 50-100x performance improvements or claim that…
