Got in 11.5 spinning miles today. Still recovering.

I would say a light day is needed. Maybe just a walk, I would give your body a little time to rest before you push again
-
Most programs out there are 12-16 weeks. So if you keep focused and train to follow a 12 week plan then yes it is possible!! Plan on running 2-3 times a week and a long run one day of the weekend.

I failed big time in January in meeting my goal, I was no where near it so I am going to reduce my goal this month and will try my best to make it. Thanks to all the mods for hosting this group, without all your hard work we would not be pushing ourselves!! Please sign me up for 100 miles for February.

This would be scary for me.. I would be planning other routes myself especially if I kept seeing the same person repeating it. Maybe you should change up your routine a bit if you can, different times, different routes, if you run a particular loop maybe run it the oposite direction each time. Also make sure that someone…

I had signs of plantar fasciitis kicking in, I went to a doctor and they told me to just slow it down a bit and to maybe take a day or two off if I was having severe pain. Well it hurt so bad sometimes that just getting out of bed hurt, just to put weight on my feet. I took a few days off and did not run, did nothing,…

I need to see about these turbos boosts!! What is it exactly?

Lots of great advise here !! I did my first half marathon back in October. To be honest it killed me!! I had done the course twice already, so it was not the course. I cramped up and that ruined my race. Since then I have learned that I need to carb load and I need to fuel during the race. I have done several several…

I added another 5.13 miles in today

Ok, well now that this question was brought up and of course I opened my mouth before really taking notice of things. :grumble: I finally did come to the conclusion today that my fitbit DOES interfere with my HRM. Since my HRM is blue tooth, I did notice today while out on a walk that my HRM was much higher than it…

Corn dogs is a big one, you think "i have corn dogs bought frozen at the store all the time for roughly 180 cals". So when spur of the moment hits and pull up at the drive thru and think corn dogs are probably the "Cheapest" calorie wise and then get home and see that its practically double what your at home corn dogs are…
