Hello, I'm 5'1.3. I started at 205 last December 4th, and am .6 pounds away from my initial goal of 130. I don't have a goal weight in mind, but rather a goal size - I'd like to be a solid size 6, ie able to fit into a size 6 from a wide variety of brands. I'm currently a solid size 8, so the end in near. Well, not the…

Our stats are similar. I just recalculated, 5'1, sedentary, 130 lbs. At 1200 calories, MFP tells me I will lose 3.6 pounds in 5 weeks. If I upped it to 1800, I would have to burn 600 calories a day in order to lose less than a pound a week. You can give it a try, but you may need to go lower than 1800. Alas, it's the curse…

So far it's not too bad. I still have plenty of extra chub that is keeping the extra skin occupied. I've made peace with the fact that I will probably never have a flat, tight stomach, and I'd rather deal with some baggy skin than lugging around 90 extra pounds.

5'1.3" Don't know what the bottom point will be. 130lbs was the initial goal I set when I started December 4th, but I'm currently thinking 115lbs, but that's flexible. I'm really aiming to be a size 4/6 My current pants size is 8 (down from a size 18/20 last November) in several different brands, so I know I'm pretty darn…

Thanks for all the compliments and a shout out to my fellow Badger/Cheeseheads. The UW Marching Band played pregame/halftime/5th quarter, so it was the best of all possible Wisconsin football Sundays. One of the people in our group knows someone in the band. She sent him our location so we could get a drive-by "On…

Did you drop right away from whatever you used to be eating down to 1400? If you're having problems with that amount, try eating how you used to eat and log it. Then drop down 100 calories a week until you get to that 1400 mark. Maybe if your body has a chance to get used to it gradually, you won't feel so ravenous. I'm…

Why can't you bring your own food? Prepare at home, weigh at home, and know exactly what you are bringing. I bring my own lunches to work and don't cook at the office. Restaurant salads can hide hundreds and hundreds of calories. Heck a single salad, if it's heavy on the cheese, meat and dressing, can be 1200 calories.

In my experience as a short person who has lost a great deal of weight, accuracy is key. Get a scale and accurately track your food, 1200 calories a day. Do that for several weeks and evaluate. Can't evaluate until you do it accurately in the first place. Also read this:…

The key to success is learning how to eat for the rest of your life. Are you going to avoid a wings joint forever? Nope, it will probably come up occasionally. So work on fitting in a splurge meal. You're not going to do it every day, or even every week. You can enjoy wings without eating 5000 calories worth. If it bugs…

I think I…

After the first 20 or 30 pounds, I started visiting Goodwill every weekend, looking for work shirts. At first I just looked in the section of clothes that fit, but soon I started to buy sizes down, if I could find brands I want. Now I have enough banana republic shirts to wear for a week, all for $5 a piece :)

It's totally doable. I'm the same height, started at 205 and will hit 80 lbs lost come my 1 year MFP anniversary on December 4th (baring natural disaster). It was doable for me because I worked hard, but I wasn't crazy. You're eating too little for the amount of exercise you'e doing. Your body will eventually crash, you'll…

I work a desk job and am 70 lbs down in 10 months. Be strict and accurate with your logging and fit in as much physical activity as you can throughout the day. Walk before work. Walk over your lunch hour. Get exercise DVDs from the library and see what kind programs you like. See if you can bike to work.

I started here on MFP (this time around) at the beginning of December, 2013. So, 9 months worth of work. Currently at 10 months worth of work and ~71 pounds down. I'm 4 pounds away from my initial goal weight, and probably 15 to 20 from my final goal weight. I've done it strictly through calorie counting, IIFYM and lots of…

1 week of not losing weight is not stuck, especially after you've lost so much in such a short period of time. When you don't lose weight for a month, then you can start to worry.

Those extra two inches give you a lot more. Using MFP calculations, 5'1 sedentary around this weight (I'm assuming 130 lbs) wouldn't lose anything at 1500 calories.
-
I'm probably about where you are - 5'1, 15-20 lbs left to lose. 1200 calories has me losing 3/4 of a pound a week, so bumping it up wouldn't give me more than a hundred extra calories to play with. Which is why I exercise nearly every day ;-) I find that when I focus on protein, I feel much more satisfied. An egg+egg…

Month's goal: 400 miles 10/2: 22.3 miles 10/5: 28.5 miles Month's total: 50.8 miles October has gotten off to a slow start. Was all kitted out at 6 am to ride to work on the 1st when the heavens opened up and it started to pour. 40 degrees and rain, no thanks. The next day it was lightly raining and about 55 when it was…

I <3 smashburger. Whenever I want a decadent meal and I've planned to fit it into my day, that's where I go. Spicy Baja and haystack onions. Mmmmm. If I can convince myself to bike today (tooooo cold), I'm going to smashburger for dinner.

Eat more.

I'm on track to lose 75 lbs this year. I never thought I'd get down below 150, but I'm well on my way to the 120s. If the big number scares you or doesn't motivate you, set goals that actually seem doable. When I logged onto MFP 10 months ago to start the journey this time around, I picked a pie in the sky number, never…

I'm going to be optimistic and aim for 400. 4 work weeks, 30 mile commute, potential for 150 miles a week, plus a few extra on the weekend. Realistically, aiming for 3 30 mile commutes, plus 10 on the weekend should put me at 400. It all depends on the weather though. We had a gorgeous September, and I'm hoping that we can…

I've only used 2 kinds of protein powder beyond just a sampling - EAS Lean 15 and Designer Whey. Both I picked up because they were cheap and convenient (trader joe's carries designer whey, EAS is at target). I'm currently working through my EAS and can't wait until it's done so I can get back to the designer whey - I find…

Apparently there's more than one, although I believe they're all recent. I'm actually from the Twin Cities, where we have several as well. The one I posted is on the west side. I want to say it's on Regent Street near the intersection with Whitney Way. This one is on the east side -…

Awesome work on yourself and the costume. Kuddos for doing body paint too - I know that's a pain in the tuccus.

New Whovian progress photo. I visited the TARDIS Little Library in Madison, WI on Saturday (which also happened to be my 33rd birthday). 137.8 lbs and counting down! Only 2 more months until my next convention, and (hopefully) the grand before and after to go with those pictures in the first post :)

Their plain, fat free greek yogurt is a protein power house. I make my smoothies with that and the designer whey protein powder you can get there. I also like their bagged organic salads - much cheaper than the regular grocery store. My cupboards always has tj's whole wheat couscous stocked and I have a freezer full of…
