Japanese shame has been around since the Heian period? Really, you can not compare Japan or any Asian society to a Western one, they are just to different. In Korea, yes, people will point out to younger people that they have gained weight, however, older woman or men it is less of a big deal. It is more health or at least…

Sorry, I did not read all the replies. Ok, yes, obesity is a large issue and something that needs to be address. Really we should be working on knocking out all obese levels of fat, and work on healthy children, with good eating habits. Obese is just as important as underweight, and I mean these in the true forms of the…

Age: 33 ( In 10 days ) Height: 5'6 1/4 SW (On MFP): 226lbs (My highest weight was around 246lbs - 254lbs) CW: 163.6lbs GW: 140lbs by the end of the year. My UGW is anything I feel confident and happy with. However, I would like to keep myself under 140lbs no matter what happens in life.

Yes every calorie counts. However, I am not the best logger and right now I am losing weight, so hey who cares. I do not take just bites of things, I either have them or don't. Bites off my kids plates I do not do anymore, unless they say it taste funny and I do need to check it. Son got food poisoning from milk once, so…

I don't think anyone is freakishly tall. 6'8 is taller, but hey, no big deal and 6'1 for a women is still not a big deal. Welcome to MFP. Differently read over the guide to sexy pants and good luck. You can do it, it is never to late. :drinker:

So many gorgeous ladies in wonderful bikinis!!  Thanks for showing off your hard work and reminding me to work even harder! :flowerforyou:  I hope to join your ranks next summer. (Well I will be in a wetsuit, but a bikini will be skillful hidden underneath, that counts ^_^)

I agree with another poster, the information is pretty useless. We all have different body structures, body types, etc... I am 5'6, small framed, a mother in my 30s, currently 164.4lbs and I fit most US 14, sometimes 16. I can put on a 12 with a muffin top depending on the brand. Well besides for Old Navy where I am a 12,…

I have no clue who most of these guys are. However, just checking out to see where Mr. Iron Man's lip biting gif end up, I see page 3 and 13, LOL. (If it ended up anywhere else I only looked to page 3 than 13/14, lazy lurker) MityMax96, very nice gif ^_^ If I was a dude, you would be my inspiration. :drinker:

So what is wrong with Aggies? They all seem pretty nice to me. They don't trip me while I run, that says something!

I am sooo bad at greeting others. For the longest, I looked at the ground instead of the road ahead. I finally am trying to nod to everyone I pass. I need to try to smile too. Sometimes I do miss people, but I work really hard at running. I am on of those you would think is about to die if you pass them, however, my skin…

My goal weight in in healthy range for someone is is 5'6. My goal right now is 140lbs with the ultimate goal weight of 120lbs. I am small framed, and a good weight for me is 120-133lbs. However, once I hit 140lbs, it is less about the number on the scale and more about how I look and feel. At that point I plan on starting…

No reason to compare yourself to others. I compare my own times, like how far I can go and how fast in 30 mins or in 15, is it better than a month ago? How can I improve my times? Those are the questions I ask myself, not how fast am I compared to others. Best wishes ^_^

It is so hard to move forward from negative self thoughts. Every time I try to move forward, I pull myself back. I need to break the cycle and start one of self love, not self hate.

I think this post is good, just the wording is a bit off. The whole "your eating and exercising is THE ONE THING that YOU can control" is a trigger for eating disorders. It is one of my triggers at that. When life gets stressful I either over eat or under eat, because it is what I control. (ETA: I am working on the balance…

Awesome post! Thank you.

OP, you really need to focus more on if this is the right relationship for you. His daughter from a previous relationship and your kids from a previous relationship are the baby you share together half-siblings. Both are part of this new baby's family. Now, if you want to lose weight, work it into your life. One of the…

Thanks, this was fun. I am 5% smaller than I think, so pretty close. ^_^

1) 30s 2) 165 3) Texas 4) Moderate 5) 3-6 times per week 6) Yes 6) Dinner (sometimes lunch) 7) 3 meals and about 4-5 snacks 8) 10-14 cups a day of pure water 9) I try to make it fit into budget. I do have an overage day once a week. Mainly thought it needs to fit into my weekly cals. 10) Don't go to sit down places much,…

In your previous thread you said you ate 1500 cals a day and last 2 days 1000 cals. This does not sound like enough. Also, congrats on your weight lost so far. 30lbs in 3 month is alot. The less you have to lose, the slower you will lose. Some great places to read…

7 1/2 - 8 months to lose 50, have lost a total of 85 so far with another 35-45 left to go. Ummm 61lbs lost since started using MFP in Oct 2013 and lost 24 before. (Well gain 10lbs back and than lost again during some point) I am thinking I will be at UGW/body recomp probably this time next year?

Personally, I say stop trying to go to have a bowel movement until you see the doctor. When you do not eat enough, you may just not poop. You need to fuel your body properly and be in the right mind set to be healthy. Speak to your doctor and find a program or support group in your area to help you get away from eating…

Loving yourself does not mean knowing something is wrong and not changing it. Loving yourself is accepting who you are, flaws and all, but knowing that you can change some of your flaws and work hard to be the best for yourself. We are all here to work on bettering ourselves in some way. Also, unless someone is wearing…

I don't think I could have said it any better. One of my hubby's professors married one of his students, however they never dated while she was in his classes. They have been married now for at least 15 years. Juts play it by the rules.

I soo want to maintain my lost this time. I want to get to 140lbs and never go over that. At 5'6 small framed, I should weight around 120-133lbs. I know I will probably gain weight again, but I hope to keep it at a small amount and never be over 140lbs again. I have no clue what the future holds, so I want to learn now how…
