I use Pepperplate. There are a few features that need to be ironed out, but for the most part it's great. You can use it on the phone and the computer.

Another vote for stir-fries. Once you get the sauce basics down, you can do just about anything.

This has been answered to death, but: I log it. Mowing is not something I did before (had a fiance and then a brother who took care of it), so it's a "new" activity. I use a push mower, and it takes me 2+ hours to do the whole yard. I don't log it for nearly as many calories as MFP says it should take, but I do track it.

"The food industry would have us believe that controlling our weight is about personal responsibility. Tell that to a 200-pound 5-year-old with diabetes and liver failure. " Wut. Obviously it's not the 5-year-old's fault. But are you seriously telling me that the child's parents have NO responsibility for what they put on…

Likes- - 24 hours - plenty of cardio equipment - usually pretty quiet - friendly staff Dislikes- - Every elliptical machine seems to have an issue. Some of the older ones have subtle but distracting shifts when you're moving. The TV on one has been broken for at least a month. Several will only pick up your heart rate if…

I feel you on the crackers. I did the same thing with Ritz. <3 I've also been known to polish off a party-size bag of Tostitos in one sitting. I don't think anyone is saying that we ALL have some underlying emotional issue(s) that cause us to gain weight. It's true, some people really just love food. I love making rich,…

I learned about the GI pain when I went on a broccoli bender two years or so ago. I had a stomach ache that just wouldn't quit, for weeks on end. -.-

This. Science is our friend.

Yeah, it's not a good sign. I dealt with the same thing: worried that if I wasn't fat, I'd leave him for someone else. Often doubted where I said I was, or thought that I was leaving work to see other people. He was really just worried that I'd stop believing his lies about who HE was talking to, and that I'd realize I…

1.) I love good food. 2.) My dad resented having to pay for things like youth league sports and loved playing computer games. As a result, I had to stop playing softball (not that I was good) and spent more and more time in front of a screen. The year I stopped playing ball coincides with the year I started gaining. 3.)…

I'm supposed to be about 160 supposedly, but I'm aiming for 180 right now and I'll evaluate then. I have pretty wide hips and am skeptical of where the BMI chart says I should be. I'm looking for a size 14 US.

Skinnytaste.com has some pretty good stuff.

I was going to make eggplant pizzas tonight, but then... I didn't. :\ Shredded beef (left over from some French dip sandwiches; yum!), steamed broccoli, and pesto-filled tortellini. A bit of a weird combination, but tasted decent and was fairly filling.

After two weeks of "clean" eating, I think this is more likely the culprit. I very much doubt that was enough time for your system to be shocked by what you ate.

I actually think that my ex was dating me BECAUSE I'm fat. (He's not exactly little, either.) He was "supportive" of me losing weight, but also trying to subtly sabotage me.... He wanted to keep me fat so I'd feel like other guys wouldn't want me. It's a little silly that it took him 7 months to figure out that he doesn't…

I know this is an old thread, but I know there are others who need to see it. I was diagnosed 4 months ago. My doctor started me on Nuvigil, which caused me to lose 13 lbs in the first two weeks. I gained it all back plus some in no time. Nuvigil kept me from falling asleep at stoplights and at my desk, but it left me very…

http://www.myrecipes.com/recipe/provencal-beef-daube-50400000110437/ The best beef stew I've made in my life. It's on my list for a Sunday dinner this month.

That was my dinner last night. :) http://www.closetcooking.com/2012/09/crispy-baked-eggplant-fries-with.html Breading all of those little fries was kind of a pain, though. And maybe my eggplant is bigger than what the author considers medium, but I didn't have nearly enough breading. I used the leftover eggplant in a…

A few others have said this already: consider your field hockey nights your work week exercise and then add 2 workouts on the weekend. If you're able to go on the weekend without trouble, I don't see a reason to try squeezing it into your work week. If you still feel like you need to do something during the week, you need…

I completely understand all of the issues that others have had with WW. When I started back up last year, I almost didn't make it because the leader was SO bubbly and in your face. She got in my bubble every week and just completely overwhelmed me. After a few weeks, she left because of a personal tragedy and was replaced…

I've been dealing with back pain since I was in middle school, and each time I get rear-ended (I seem to have a target on my bumper) it gets worse. My chiropractor wants me to do strength-building that focuses on the core muscles. One that he specifically recommended is what folks seem to call "superman" - while on all…

On work days, I go in the evening. On weekends it varies, but it tends to be mid-day before I can get out of the house. I've thought about switching to going before work, but I have narcolepsy and just CAN'T get out of bed until it is absolutely necessary. ;)

I had a very different experience from jbee27 in regards to canceling, though my situation was somewhat different. My (now ex-) boyfriend and I signed up on a family plan on March 7th. At the beginning of May, we broke up and kicked him out. We didn't get a chance to go in and cancel him until May 8th, once we'd already…
