It depends on my schedule, but it's usually about six times a week. Some weeks I'll do all seven days, others I'll do five. I don't so super intense workouts every day though. I alternate between an intense workout, and a less intense one. When first started out, it was closer to four days a week, but now I'm up for more!

I think it's different for everyone, but here's what works for me. I can't eat first thing in the morning (makes me sick), so what I've been doing is working out before breakfast. As I don't have to be on the road until 9AM at the latest, this typically does not require me to wake up too early. When I work out in the…

Hello all! I'm 5ft2, have a small frame, and currently sit at 135 pounds. I began this journey at 140 pounds, and I can already see little differences (my figure looks more feminine and less round). My goal is to get back at 120, which is where I was the most happy with my weight, and living a healthier lifestyle. Being…

For me it would have to be sweets. You know. Chocolate, Ice Cream, Fudge, Junior Mints, Sour Patch Kids, pudding, mints, M&Ms, fudge, chocolate covered pretzels, peanut butter cups, chocolate truffles, chocolate chip cookies, oreos, peanut butter cookies, skittles.... Oh, and french fries.

I personally don't like frozen meals. I find them a little pricey, and a lot of them don't fill me up very well. But a the same time, I know they work well for a lot of people. It sounds like you just want to eat them temporarily until you get more into the cooking, which sounds like it could work. And for recipes,…

It's obvious that this is disturbing on a health level. At the same time, all I could think about was all of the people in the world that go to bed hungry. And here she is eating enough food for the daily diet of well over a dozen people in one meal? Damn.

Not going to touch those. I'm a super klutz and already have a difficult enough time as it it when it comes to tripping and falling at random moments. I don't need sneakers that make it harder to walk. But for people that say that it motivates them to walk more, I really can't criticize that.

I workout during my period, although I tend to take it a little easier than usual.

Just adding my experience. I knew a whole family that tried Atkins and I was amazed with the results. Here was a family who had always struggled with a healthy lifestyle, and they were losing weight really fast. I had known the father of the family for over fifteen years, and had never seen him so thin and so happy. The…

I'm pretty lucky in that I don't need to be at work that early. The earliest I need to get on the road is 9AM, which leaves me plenty of time to wake up, exercise for 30-45 min, shower, eat breakfast , and get ready without waking up at some crazy time. I have so much respect for people who can get up in the wee hours of…

1. Read 100 books in a year (includes audiobooks) 2. Learn how to cook! Starting goal: 20 recipes 3. Get a second job that pays decently 4. Stick to my budget!

I agree that it's probably a product placement thing, which is kind of scary if you think about it. People are watching this show to learn about health and are getting hidden advertisements throw in their face? Not cool.

I think this is silly, but I get pretty embarrassed when walking up a steep hill puts me out of breath. When I went to pick out my Christmas tree, the trees were located down a hill in the woods. After coming up that hill, I was panting worse than the two guys carrying my tree! I was so embarrassed! I think that was the…

I typically do. Not so much if I'm just making the bed and picking dirty laundry off the floor, but lately I've been doing more heavy duty cleaning to prepare for the holidays. I've scrubbed pots, dusted, swept floors, scrubbed the tub and sink, etc. I would consider this "moderate" effort as it never got to the point…

I feel your pain. My favorite restaurant is the 99, and pretty much everything I like there is very bad for you. That's probably why it tastes so good :). I think I'll try the take out box method next time I have a chance to go.

Cravings (as with everything else involving my period) vary from month to month. Some months, things won't be that bad. Other months, I WANT TO EAT THE WORLD. Seriously. Chocolate, carbs, fried food? I want them for every meal. I can relate :)

If you're interested in exercise DVDs, have you thought about checking your library? My library doesn't have any exercise DVDs, but they can order them from nearby libraries, giving me access to over 200 DVDs. A lot of libraries will let you check them out for free, but some do have a $1 a week charge (typically goes…

SJSchwartz- I don't think they have that type of store around me, which is too bad. It sounds like a great find. There is a discount grocery store but I've been kind of nervous about checking it out. Perhaps I'll take the plunge after Christmas? And feeding a family of 7 on $100 a week is no small feat. I'm very impressed!

So many nice replies! I have a feeling I'm going to like it here :) Mila- Hello. I'd love to be friends. I really like the idea of the cereal bars, but I must warn you that my cooking experience is rather low. One of my highlights of the past six months was learning how to make mashed potatoes (they're so cheap!), and a…
