  • I go to a bar called MacDinton's, great drink specials and a live DJ that I can shake my booty to! Hmmmmm....on a second look at the context, I may be off
  • Two gray tiger cats...Pumpkin and Patch
  • I am in Tampa Bay...happy to have new friends!
  • good luck! We are heere for you!
  • Great job! Your race times are amazing! I hope as I get more toward the 230-220 range that I can get my paces anywhere near that for the 5k!
  • Google is an amazing thing. Just google something like "ab exercises" or "belly busters" and you can find Youtube videos, charts, etc and build your own exercise routine. You can also utilize apps if you have a smartphone.
  • Thank you guys! So question (I have wondered this forever): After about a half hour or so I start to get a bit bored. How do you push through for 70 minutes?!
  • Yeah...increase in confidence and all of that good stuff. Also, feel myself peacocking a lot more. Every once in a while I have to calm the strut down!
  • YES!! It is much, much different. There is a certain amount of kinetic energy and centripetal force that propels you through an elliptical workout that is not there on pavement. It is also more impact on your legs (obviously) with pavement. For me, I started walking in around February, and running around late March. I used…
  • I like Vanilla Puff...much less disparaging than Cream Puff...lol Side note: cream puffs are delicious and I just made myself hungry!
  • People notice on me all the time. It may be because I had a t-shirt made with before/in-progress pictures on the front and back...jk Honestly, it was at about 20 lbs. If you are quite heavy like I was, I think that the main difference is that it just takes awhile for it to filter through. I had pushed all of my fattest…
  • Sometimes a lil unplanned vomiting is the sign of a good workout. I have a friend that is a big runner, they shared (I have no idea why) about how one time they ran until they peed them self on a bench. I would take vomiting over that!
  • Thank all of you. It is funny the wells you dig into when you are trying to get that little extra during a run or working out. Often I think about the stories I see on here, or a MFP friend's update and go, "I have to at least match that" or "I need a little more to have a story to tell." On the other side, I think about…
  • thanks, Mock!
  • Great outlook! You will do awesome!
  • great job, man! You are very blessed to have a wife that is soooo supportive, as well! Keep up the good work.
  • lol...assuming poster is from the SE United States, were you serious about the Publix scale or jk?
  • I love all the shapes....and I have seen some booties like that...it is like a special, rare treat. Like an aged wine, or fine cheese. Wonderful to enjoy at the right time!
  • Yeah, then running down by the Vinoy is probably a nice little area and gives plenty of room for running a pretty good distance. I try to go after work sometimes, so if you ever see a big black dude plodding along...it is probably me
  • I have heard of these things several times. I once had a roommate that would do crazy stuff, as well. Since the person can't remember it, I don't think it would be a big hit. I, personally, like to remember my skills in the sack. Anyhow, this actually doesn't surprise me.
  • Their are a couple - one I do and one I would like to do. One is the trail/walk that goes behind Dali and all the way to the bridge for Snell Isle..Basically Shore Dr down to Vinoy Park. It is a nice run. The other is Crescent Lake. What part of town are you in Southern?
  • Thanks SC! Just working with what I got. Blessed to have decent lungs and a lil ambition. I try to use them the best I can :glasses:
  • Thank you guys! I have been doing some upper body and core work, however, besides for a few squats in my circuit work, I have been letting the running handle strengthening my legs. I hate squats and lunges (big guys get down there...hard time getting back up:blushing: ) However, I do know I need to do them to continue to…
  • I am on Week 7 (2.5 straight run). It sucks so good! Let me boost your spirits here. I have never ran. I personally think of it as a flight or fight thing, but I decided to try c25k. At 282, I just did 2.5 at 4.6mph. It is not fast, but I did it. I will run my 5k sometime this fall. I am starting to get excited, and really…
  • I am not sure if I am joining, as I am struggling through week 7 (good struggle). However, it is a solid plan. It will make you feel accomplished and it will get you ready to run. I am doing it at 282 lbs. So if that shows you how attainable it is, you should go for it. Think of it like this. It is 9 weeks (it will…
  • I would definitely stop doing daily weigh ins. More potential for bad than for good. You can get depressed easily with then. Once a week for an official weigh in and maybe a mid-week is pretty good. After that, just trust the idea of calorie deficit.
  • This is how I handle that. I eat the burger, but I do it with an alternative. If you cannot make it at home (somehow they always manage to add like 500 calories at restaurants) then do the following: -Cheeseburger (no top bun, extra veggies) -Sm. Fry -Pick up a diet dr. pepper Have a little walk when you get home. Let's…
  • Yeah....to me it is just sushi. I realize that it has calories and all. I usually knock out about 6-8 pieces and well under 500 calories. I guess I don't love it like some people on here. Anyhow, I typically look at it as a low calorie option, I guess I will really pay closer attention in the future.
  • Workout Trainer by Skimble is an ok app. I am actually looking at some others, too, though. I may check out the Nike one ppl are talking about.
