I am 5 11 and 200 Lbs and I have done 1400 calories in the past with workout. This is usually done to jumpstat rapid loss but it is not sustainable and I would guess the instructor would recommend a gradual increase with time

OP is younger than most, probably does not have as much experience in nutrition like you "experts" giving advice . While you might have good advice , be nice and courteous.

Maybe i dont understand this thread, i always use gloves while lifting mainly for better grip but also to avoid callous and blisters. Does having callous make you feel more like a man . Good luck to those who need that to remind themselves they are men.

You might not gain muscle on 1000 calories (thats true) but you CAN gain muscle on Insanity with the right nutrition

With insanity , you could be gaining a little muscle mass.(which is good) Do you look more toned ?

I cant survive without my daily caffine :) . You can switch to low calorie energy drink if all you need is the caffine .

I will say as long as you are below your daily carb requirement and over on your daily protein reguirement , you should be okay . you might need to stay away from starchy and sweet fruits to reduce your carb intake
