OP, do not believe a word of the bolded. The second bit about 1/2 a lb a week loss would be good for you or your stated "skinny fat" problem could be exacerbated. Underlying muscle is required to get rid of that look. Another option is body recomp. You eat at maintenance and work to add muscle. Another option is a bulk cut…

Increased water in your muscles. This doesn't even sound like noob gains since you stated you'd been lifting prior. If you are gaining size while at a calorie deficit and likely not at the protein levels needed for hypertrophy, you need to find an exercise physiologist quickly. They'll want to study you!
-
No. You have a cause =/= causation issue at work here.
-
Well that was a hilariously bad tip. Sea salt will do absolutely nothing to aide in weight loss. Those other claims are also complete bunk. I hate super food bs.

Tl;dr.

For illustrative purposes: Drink 8oz of a caffeinated beverage, the caffeine will cause 1oz as a diuretic response. You're still ahead 7oz of hydration. There are no caffeinated drinks that cause more of a diuretic effect than the amount of liquid consumed. This is why it is a myth.

No.

No, because I haven't thrown my money away on money sucking snake oil that diet industry con artists pedal for about a decade now. You'll probably reach the same conclusions I did eventually. Sometimes you need to fall a few times before you learn to walk. You'll get up from this fall and maybe it will be the one you learn…

I just like to say that I'm built for hard labor.

My guess? To expose your lack of knowledge. She and others are doing a good job of that.
-
Yup, occasionally. Don't curr. It happens no matter my physique. You should not care too. They don't.

Also, weren't the mice from a sub group that were bred to develop cancer more frequently making them a terrible group to test possible carcinogens on?
-
Those are the choices? BS documentaries that make people dumber for watching them or BS reality TV? I'll chose neither.
-
Is this just when sitting?
-
Exactly. It's not something that's going to make much difference. Increasing muscle mass is great if that's what you want and has a lot of benefits but an increase in BMR isn't really one to shoot for.
-
Maybe a few people won't look at those garbage piles of documentaries as gospel any longer. I'll count that as helpful to humanity. The less people with tin foil hat syndrome the better.
-
You gain about 6 extra calories a day per additional lb of lean body mass.
-
I'm always amazed that people admit to watching those shows and then admit to being duped by them. Those documentaries, making people dumber with each Netflix viewing.

You are trying to change him and if you try to get him to do this with you more than twice and he continues to resist, any further attempts will be nagging.

Half a Big Hunk.

Do what works for you. It will not trick your body and prevent a plateau however. Good luck.
-
Were you in a calorie deficit?
-
You can't spot reduce. No specific exercise will remove your love handles. Only a calorie deficit will.
-
If the amount of calories you go over your allowance on your cheat day exceeds the deficit you've built, the cheat will eradicate your weight loss efforts. If it's less, then you'll lose weight but only at the rate the deficit you created will allow.

Beauty isn't instinctual, it's intellectual and cultural. Body modification through scarring, and peircing has been a cultural beauty for millennia. Obesity has been a sign of beauty in some cultures. What you define as beauty is a product of the evolution of your culture, not the evolution of the species.

Lose all the weight while eating enough protein and engaging in a progressive lifting program to retain what muscle you have. Then eat at a calorie surplus while continueing that progressive lifting though you'll want to focus on hypertrophy style lifting. Then rinse and repeat. That's one way that some people use. But you…

You just don't get it. Her way is less rudimentary.
