Often when I am tired, I am not drinking enough water. If I haven't had a full 8 glasses by mid afternoon, I am wiped out. Could it be water related? Same here. I loved them, and that they're actually available at most grocery stores, but they did seem to stall me. I didn't gain weight from them, but those weeks I ate them I also didn't loose any weight. I will certainly go back to them once I'm maintaining, because they never made me crave sugar like real pasta does.

Sometimes, I use plain yogurt. I also use beef or chicken broth in place of cream. Or, a can of plain, no sugar added tomato sauce. Coconut milk or almond milk (unsweetened) can also work, depending on the recipe. It does change the texture of the recipe, but sometimes it is quite delightful.

Pork loin is a fairly lean source of protein, and helps mix it up between chicken and fish. I have pork every so often. A roast or even a fire grilled chop make a nice dinner. Every so often on a weekend, I'll even have bacon. Hot dogs and kielbasa are quite a different story though, because they're so processed.
