Oh, and I definitely agree with you on this one AJ_G. I wouldn't force any diet on my child, I'd leave it entirely up to them to decide as and when they're ready, same with religion and any other personal choice.

...What? Just because we've been doing it for ages doesn't make it natural at all, it's just something we've learnt to do. No other species treats others…

On the breastfeeding point.. No animals are exploited in order for the baby to drink milk from it's own mother, it's natural for a species to drink the milk of it's parent while in infancy. It isn't natural to artificially impregnate other species and steal the milk intended for their baby :smile:

I'd have to agree chick, sounds to me a little like the makings of an eating disorder, and you definitely don't want that! See someone who can help you stop obsessing with calorie counting and being "good". Time to get you enjoying your food in a normal way again!

Really interesting info, thanks for sharing! I've been thinking about going raw vegan in the Summer just to try it as I know on my "cleaner" days I do feel much better than days where it's pasta and pre-packaged food left right and centre. I barely fancy anything cooked when it's hot anyway so I'm definitely keen to try it…

Hiya, feel free to add me, I follow a vegan diet. I don't always eat clean, I try to keep a balance of veggies and "junk" food because it keeps my mind and body happy :smile:

Pack your own food or make sensible decisions on what food is available e.g. burger minus cheese and mayo. Alternatively, eat the junk but work out more. I wouldn't worry too much though, long as you fit within your calories for the day or even go over just a wee bit, you're doing fine :bigsmile:

Of course not! I find I feel "cleaner" when I eat "clean", but I can't live like that 24/7! No way. I need a beer at the end of the week and instant ramen noodles for no reason other than fancying some :smile:

I usually pre-log breakfast and lunch for weekdays, these are my super healthy veggie-full meals, and leave dinner and weekends open to play with and have what I fancy :smile:

It varies massively. My partner recently had a vegetable pizza that was around 600kcals, yet I've also seen them around the 2000kcals mark (bare in mind I'm from the U.K. and we don't generally get pizzas as big as in the U.S, they're usually 12" or smaller!).

I never liked McDonalds or any fast food burgers when I was a raving meat/cheese eater, dunno why it just always tasted weird. Having said that, I will gorge on a big serving of Maccy D fries, just because potato :heart:
