  • I just want to throw this argument into the mix: weight and image issues aside, if you buy the new pants, you'll notice it more if you ever start to go back in the opposite direction. Not to say that you will, but when you have clothes that fit your new body, if they start to get tight you notice a lot more quickly and…
  • The two big ones for me were Starbucks and/or McDonalds coffees and the other was portion sizes. I was just estimating everything until I got a food scale as a wedding present and my eyes were opened for sure!!!
  • My husband and I love this recipe. And we've made it when we've had family/friends over and they all love it too. We usually add some turkey bacon bits as well (just couple tbs) and this is seriously delicious! http://recipes.prevention.com/Recipe/great-turkey-burgers.aspx
  • I can't really speak personally because I'm still rather large. My sister on the other hand is 5'9, a size 2/4 and has 32 DDD. She's always been skinny but lately she's some weight and the girls got bigger!!! I think it just depends on the person. From what I hear, a lot of people lose weight in their boobs, but I doubt…
  • I would love some friends around my age too! I'm 25 and I'm hoping to lose just over 60 pounds. I'm also from the midwest :)
  • Feel free to add me. I'm at 1200 calories and I'm hoping to lose just over 60 pounds.
  • I'm a newbie to the site and I wanted to give this a try! SW: 207 CW: 207 GW: 199 (I assume this is just for this month?) Weigh in Dates: 8/5 8/12 8/19 8/26 End of Month
  • As an update, it was pretty difficult, but I got through it. I had to modify some of the exercises (mostly just the push ups) and I was dripping sweat when I was done but honestly it wasn't as bad as I thought it might be after some of the posts I've seen on here.
  • Just want to know what inspired your username??? If the references are what I'm guessing they are, we should be friends :)
  • I haven't been doing this all that long, but I'm set up to be at 1200 calories. I try not to go too far above or below that, but my doctor actually told me that I could go down to 1000 cal as long as I was eating the right things. That being said, this isn't right for everyone, and even with smaller numbers I eat 3 meals a…
  • I have the same problem!!!! Hopefully someone will have some good suggestions!
  • I just got the DVD so if you want a buddy to do it with just friend me and we can trade notes :) I'm pretty out of shape (just over 200) but we've got to start somewhere right! I'm going to do it tonght when I get home so I'll try to post an update once I've tried it out :)
  • I laughed way harder than I should have at this!!!!!
  • You're welcome! Although pinterest really gets all the credit haha.
  • I tried a couple different weight loss supplements--they cost a lot of money and when I stopped taking them, it didn't affect my weightloss/gain at all. Don't waste your money...seriously...it may seem like a good way to jump-start weightloss or get through a plateau, but it really doesn't help...and I really wish I could…
  • My sister's friend is a personal trainer and she suggested body weight exercises. If you google it you can find a lot of suggestions.
  • I found on pinterest a way too cook eggs in a muffin tin (you literally just crack the eggs into the muffin tins and cook them at 350 for 12-15 minutes). They fit perfectly on a multi-grain english muffin with a slice of ham or turkey. I make them at the beginning of the week and store them in the fridge so I can throw my…
  • Is the 40-30-30 model the generally accepted model to follow?
  • If there's still room I'd like to join!
  • THIS!!!! I love to do this and put it on fruit for dessert.
  • ^^ALL OF THIS!!!! Sparkling Ice is amazing!!!!! I don't even miss soda now that I've tried it :)
  • I have a Keurig and buy the iced coffee pods for it. They have the flavor but the calories are way less than McDonalds or Starbucks.
  • I'm a newbie! Please put me down for 75 miles!
  • I'm impressed by all of the people who say they can read while on the elliptical. Personally, I can't (I'm usually doing intervals and I'm moving too much to focus on print). I do use my tablet though to watch videos. If I watch the time / monitor I usually don't go as hard or as long as I would otherwise. Watching videos…
  • I want to preface this by saying that just because I don't have my own children doesn't mean that I have no experience with them. I was a day camp counselor and a nanny so before you jump down my throat about what I'm saying, I just wanted to thow that perspective out there. The key part in what you've said is TRYING. If…
  • I'm 5' 8' and I'm not entirely convinced it would even be possible for me to weigh 128 pounds. Granted I don't have a small lanky frame either so there's that. Personally, I didn't even know what Thinspo was until I googled it just now, but honestly I would never want to look that skinny. Those girls look like they have…
  • This is a really interesting question! When I was young my parents used to encourage my sister and I to eat lots of fruits and veggies and healthy things. Then (I think some due to peer pressure and some because it was just so dang tasty) I went to high school and college and started eating the crummy stuff they served in…
  • Spending my Sunday afternoons cooking and portioning my breakfasts / lunches / snacks for the entire week...now I'm using it to indulge in trashy tv as well
  • I've heard there are some health benefits to dark chocolate? Plus there's less sugar in it so maybe try some of that!
