I weigh in every day, but I don't get discouraged- example: I ran a tough race Saturday night, ate fantastic all weekend and gained a pound today- should have lost. My legs are sore, and menopause is freaking out my water weight- so I know this weight will come right off. If you can weigh every day knowing it will…

I completely agree.... Today is my rest day, and I know I'm going to be very hungry- I walk only on my rest day (2 per month)- and drink water like crazy to fill my grumbly tummy!!

10 for sure!

I'm opposite with weight loss with running- I have to push it very hard for at least a couple of runs per week to lose weight, then stay slow and steady the other days. I'm also very careful eating back calories. I don't know if my calculators overestimate my burn or not, but I only ever eat back 1/2 at the most. Good luck!

Wow!! Fantastic!!! What an inspiration! I'm going to post some before and after pics as soon as I can tolerate seeing pictures of how I used to look!! Thank you..

LMBO!! That is creepy! "It puts the lotion in the basket!" YIKES!!!

I get the chocolate and potato chip cravings right before- and they are SERIOUS cravings!!! I exercise to earn them. Two peanut butter cups are 230 calories- that's 2.1 miles of walking for me- after I've walked, I eat them!! That's how I satisfy my monthly cravings- work for them!

This is fantastic advice- if you are still short on calories, exercise to "earn" more. I wouldn't just eat without earning them. The exercise will also cut your appetite a bit, so you will likely eat less.

You can do it! Just take it one day at a time- MFP is a great tool- we are all here to help, and we all understand what you are going through... I suggest you make this site an absolute every day- log everything you eat, even if you eat insanely bad- bad days happen to everybody. I have found that logging in every day here…

I've had water weight fluctuate up to five pounds in a day- I don't know how far under it has ever been, I never thought of it that way before...

Exactly- can't really fail on running- but can fail on a lift.....Lift first after a light cardio warm up. Doing both on the same day is fine.
