It's hard....when the scale drops I can't always directly tie it to the week's behaviour....so I start down the dangerous path of "see it's easy, I can do this...I don't have give up EVERYTHING" and then I have a little binge....thus I lose weight in fits and spurts. it's also hard to become so emotionally tied to the…

Bedtime tea? some kind of tea latte Favourite type of tea? right now, I really like the Coconut Oolong from David's Loose leaf? almost always Favourite cheap tea (bags) - for those of you in Canada…

I take it you want shorts that are longer than running shorts. I have these (I'm in Canada), but I see they are available in the UK as well. I wear them for walking in the summer and prefer capris for the gym, but they attractive and stretchy. THe only draw back is that the waist may be too loose for the gym.…

i buy cookbooks, but they are like food porn. I end up using blogs and Pinterest for what I actually cook. start searching plant based, plant strong, vegan. people have already posted a number of the good sites.

forgot to suggest you Google this topic as there is a lot out there. A couple of years ago I came across the blog of a young woman in DC who was doing an experiment to see if you could eat healthy foods (she had IBS) on the average budget of a person on benefits. She questioned whether it was possible. Her conclusion was…

beans, lentils, oatmeal fruits and vegetables - you can focus on what is seasonal and on sale. not sure if your kids will eat this, but soup below is cheap, satisfying and you'll get a number of meals out of it. http://www.theppk.com/2013/03/smoky-tomato-lentil-soup-with-spinach-olives/

Congratulate yourself on tracking it and start over tomorrow. I feel of the wagon and when I knew I went over I stopped tracking for the entire weekend. What can I do but start over tomorrow. I did prepare healthy food for breakfasts and lunches over the week so getting on track shouldn't be difficult.

melindanew, thanks for you post ! It's hard to go from one or two shops to many more. I'm also in my late thirties so now I can fit into stores I feel a little too old for--probably because, as you point out, plus size clothing ran conservative and old. I think part of is the fat girl naivete. Shopping for clothes sucks…

Non-dairy yogurts are poor imitations and not so healthy. Why not try a non-dairy milk and chia seeds instead to get the thickness of yogurt in your smoothies?

I also was an obese vegetarian. Now I am an overweight vegetarian. I liked my carbs A LOT. There is a lot of vegetarian sources of sugar and junk out there. If anyone is looking for directions....

I have thick wavy (winter) to curly (summer) hair. I don't wash after the gym at lunch because it takes foooorever to dry. Working out usually puts more spring into my hair. The roots are damp/wet. I spray it with a water with a little leave in condition (Mixed Chicks) in it to remove the signs of my head band. I then…

Saturday morning in a bra and underwear after I've gone to the washroom. Mornings after voiding are best. Later in the day what you eat can fool with the numbers.

In the middle of December, I started a job that gave me the flexibility to go to the gym at lunch. Love it!! it has become the highlight of my day. I get grumpy when meetings interfere with my gym time, but I am now dedicated enough to go in the morning instead of skipping the day. Way less people at lunch. I went to an…

Surely, it will get easier soon as the puppy will be up for more and you will be able to combined dog walking and cardio. Nothing like a dog to get you out no matter the weather.

The teenage years are hell. Especially if you are different and who isn't? I used to swim competitively as kid and a pre-teen before the other girls got too fast. I rediscovered lap swimming and master's training swimming as an adult. It used to pain me as I changing to go into pool the teen swim would be finishing and the…

I get bored and all I want is to put something in my mouth. I try for tea and sugarless gum. I was chewing so much gum that I had tooth and jaw pain. Bombard me with phone calls and high pressure tasks and I wouldn't eat, but I wouldn't make it to the gym either. Can't win.

That also happens to me. Also there are periods of alternating weight loss (lbs going down) and fat loss (inches decreasing). I am certainly not a 2 lbs a week superstar.

North America is soooo behind the UK and Europe for good bra, especially in larger cup sizes. Our department stores typically only care up to DD after that you need to go a specially store that carries mostly British and European bras. You can buy online once you know what bra you want. Every time I go to the UK I spend…

Shock Absorber in a G cup for me. Not a flattering profile, but they are held in there. If you are a DD or larger and have access, go to specialty and get fitted. I go a specialty shop to get fitted and then buy additional bras at lower prices from online retailers. This topic comes at least once a week. I searched the…
