I love flexible eating or IIFYM! It's all about calories and how much you control them unless you're a professional body lifter preparing for a show. Any food can be consumed as long as a good amount of protein, fats and carbs are consumed for restoring your muscles from the workouts.

I completely understand you and I also grew up in Puerto Rico and to be skinny was not to be healthy in the island, in which is a misconception of the culture; so my family would always try to fatten us up.

That I can run up the steps at my job and not become tired like before. And for every pound of fat weight lost, my knees are spared 4 lbs of weight pressure when I walk or run. I'm so sorry knees for all the abuse I put you through because of my mouth! :'(

@Zigzikowitz-I completely agree with you on that ! I do "if it fit your macros" and that's basically what you are doing also. Good to hear I'm not the only one who feels and thinks this way

I go by my whole body weight to calculate how much protein is needed for muscle build up and it's always better to do more than less when it comes to protein since protein is what helps the muscles to heal after a workout also for your body change composition.

I think 100g of protein is close enough for you, although the preferred way is to keep it 1 gram per pound so that would be 126 grams of protein. But you shouldn't be worried though. 100 grams is still great ! B)

I am now, and I started today doing 30 push-ups a day with a test day on Saturday! This will be my daily exercise for first thing in the morning.
