FEBRUARY 2021 I was within .5 lb of my goal for February, so I'll call that a win. Although I had planned to, I STILL have not added any exercise besides walking (good intentions and all). There is just so much to do with work and homeschooling and well, life. I am looking forward to our youngest going back to school next…

Hi Nina! Welcome to the group. I have been gone for a while and just joined back in. For me, one of the biggest things is to track everything I eat. (every little thing!) It is amazing how quickly things add up and if you are accounting for everything you put in your mouth it is much easier to stay on track and monitor…

Hi Marleny and welcome! I do a lower fat version of Keto and love it. One of the things I love the most is the energy I feel after being on it for a while. I have 4 kids, work part time outside the home, work part time with freelance work at home, and have my kids home right now "homeschooling" during this time. My husband…

The older I get, the slower this process is. When I lose this weight, I really need to keep it off. I'm tired of doing this over and over again. On a more positive note, I am feeling better physically already and my energy levels and moods are improving too. FEBRUARY 2021 2021 SW: 165 Feb Beginning Weight: 164.5 Sunday…

Made zucchini lasagne last night with zucchini sliced in the mandoline instead of lasagne noodles. Didn't even miss the noodles, which was a win!

I definitely ate some things last week that weren't the BEST of choices, but I am still seeing progress because on the days my carbs are higher, I am really watching calorie count and expenditure through exercise. I am finding that either OMAD or at least a shorter eating window makes it easier for me to keep control of my…

@Sarag78 My week got so busy, I did not see this until now....I will definitely be checking this out! Thank you!

I'm doing well so far. Super bowl today, but I made a good amount of low carb food. It's easier for me right now because my girls are eating low carb as well, so we can hold each other accountable and walk together every day. Since my gym is not open, I really need to start working out at home because I see much better…

I've always been told not to count it because it is not a complete protein.

Stormy: You were at the top of my mind when I said I'm happy to see familiar faces! I feel the same way about how much your input and support (and checking up on me!) helped me previously. Let's keep that faith (that 2021 will be better) together! I'm so glad you're still here and I'm ready to get moving :)

I'm happy to see familiar faces now that I am back here. I'm motivated (once again) to get back on track and I believe I'm at a place where that can happen again. We've had so many unexpected hurdles to overcome over the past two years and unfortunately, I have gained quite a bit of weight. This community was so helpful to…

This was to be expected since we just returned from a week of vacation. I actually lost weight during our first vacation…

@stormywxs288 And you can do it! Hope you are well!

We were on vacation for the last couple of weeks so I did not have access to a scale...or internet on most days. As far as vacation goes, I am (mostly) happy with my eating and staying active (I'm typically more active on vacation because I'm not sitting behind a desk or in my car driving kids around town.) For 7/05, I…

Hi everyone! I'm headed on family vacation Wednesday night so I won't have much internet access or a scale, but I plan to stay on track with my eating. We'll be in the mountains and cooking all of our meals so it should be okay as long as I don't give in to all of the snacks we have for the kids while on these trips. I do…

I just moved the fiber column right next to carbs so it just takes a quick glance to see it. Although, I see better results when I am eating based on my true carb number.

I hope everyone had a great week! I did very well all week and then went way over what I should have on Mothers Day. I am choosing to not let that mess with my head and I am back on track today. Event though I know better, I get frustrated that I don't see the quick results (even on Keto) that I did when I was younger. I…

I almost didn't post my 1/26 weight because I was frustrated by the additional 2 lbs. It was to be expected due to my Saturday food/beer consumption and eating late (I was out all day with my husband for his bday). But....I know if I am going to be "all in" here again, I need to post the good, the bad and the ugly! JANUARY…

When I have a considerable amount of weight to lose, it is best if I weigh myself once a week. I want to weigh daily, so that is difficult! Weekly is best because I also allow the daily fluctuations to affect my mood and motivation. Once I am close to goal, I prefer to weigh daily so that I have an idea of what my body is…

I just got the Ninja Foodi for Christmas and I LOVE IT! At first I didn't know if I should be irritated at my husband for getting it for me, but it is the best gift I never knew I wanted ;) 50% of our family is low carb and so have made things from all ends of the spectrum!: Wings, kale chips, chicken fajitas, taco soup,…

Thank you Stormy for not giving up on me ;) It's so nice to reconnect. I have missed all that being a regular on MFP affords, especially this group. My husband and I have been in the trenches with all that raising teenagers can entail. Unfortunately, we've had all of the "valleys" along with the "moutaintops," this year…

I hope it's okay, but I took the liberty to freeze the first column of the spreadsheet, so that those of us who are toward the end can see the dates in the first column while scrolling to our names! I'm happy to be back and look forward to reconnecting with this group!

We've had some "spring/hints of summer" days and it's been great. We have had a lot of rain lately, which CA has sorely needed - but my moods need the sun! Glad you are feeling the motivation today - because I am too!
-
Congratulations! That is the best feeling! I would be right there with you if I was not blowing it every afternoon/evening :( Looking forward to the added satiety and energy that ketosis brings.

@River_Goddess I do the same thing! I track my weight at home on MFP and on a note in my phone I record my gym weight just for comparison.

In most cases as said above it would be taken care of with electrolytes being on track. Potassium, magnesium and especially sodium. When eating low carb you need way more sodium than you would on a regular carb laden diet. There is NO reason to have to deal with keto flu symptoms when they are completely fixable!
