  • I'm doing this challenge all year long as part of my 2016 commitment plans. My rule: No solid food after 8p.m. It's working so far. :) Streak--since January 1, should be 365 days by the end of the year. I don't need motivation. I made a decision for myself and my health; I will follow through. **More support friends…
  • Oh sooooo true. Full isn't in my repertoire of feelings lately. It's sad that after eating fairly clean for over a month, I sorta miss that binge-y sickness tummy feeling, isn't it? But I will be persistent in my commitment to my health and a few simple rules about my food. The mantra: "I control what goes in my mouth." is…
  • You don't need motivation to eat healthy. Instead, you just decide to do it, and follow through. It's hard, and there are temptations everywhere to eat things that are over-processed or full of too much sugar and calories and not enough natural nutrition, but you decided to eat healthy and now you just have to do it.*…
  • To stop evening binges, I'm trying this: -I made a decision that I cannot eat solid food in my home after 8pm. -I also decided that I am not allowed to buy "junk food" from the grocery. I'm using positive mantras and I will remember that these are just new lifestyle rules I will always follow, kinda like the life decision…
  • Meditation can be a lot of things. The breathing exercises help and calm. I find music helps too. This is a song that motivates me and it's topical, one of the lyrics "the body talks and meditation helps" https://youtu.be/1LsabQV0Yjk
  • I've got about 50. I set goal #1 to be 30lbs before June. I'm doing this weight loss the vegetables and mostly clean food way. I'm truly focused on lifestyle change. I need to only put good food in my body. I CONTROL of what i put in my mouth. I don't need motivation; i made a decision. Please add me as a friend because I…
  • When I heard about Bowie.... a day of music tribute. Let's dance!
  • Yum. Cake sounds really good to me too. But I've "decided" to just say no for these reasons: 1. Cake isn't fuel for my body. 2. It's after 8pm and I don't eat solid food after 8 3. I don't have have any cake. Note that #3 is the easiest reason that keeps me sticking to my decision to eat less.
  • Popcorn. Homemade. The sound. The smell. The feel. The crunch. I heat coconut oil, insert nonGMO kernels, heat and shake shake shake then season--cayenne or cinnamon, salt or cumin or garlic. The whole exercise of making popcorn helps calm me. Watching it so it doesn't burn. Popcorn is good for my emotional eating. I'm…
  • Thanks for your post. I can't yet totally control how I feel, but I can control what I put in my mouth.
  • I want to join in too. I'm not a bride or bridesmaid ('cause marriage happened years ago, but I'm young at heart), and two of my best friends from high school (I was a bridesmaid in their weddings years ago) are coming to visit me in June. I want to have the great reveal moment when they see me at least 30 pounds (maybe…
  • Sounds like a great challenge. I'm not eating solid food after 8pm in 2016. So far, my rule has won out over my crazy binge cravings. Please add me as a friend on here because I can use the support and I don't know many folks on here IRL.
  • Please add me too if you want. I could use extra friends on here for support too.
  • SW: 200ish (I've "started" many times) GW: 150ish Age: 39, not yet 40 Height: 5'6"
  • I've done a few 3 day juice fasts for health and cleansing and will probably do a 7-14 day cleansing reboot sometime later this winter. Right now I am eating a yummy-tastic muffin for lunch I made from scratch with the apple and carrot pulp from my fresh breakfast juice. :) I'm looking for more "pals" for extra inspiration…
