Both! It keeps your body guessing.

Eating smaller portions will teach your body to eat smaller portions. Unless you have a lot of weight to lose, diet & exercise are the best method for losing weight.

If you start eating right (not saying that you aren't), you'll have the energy to do P90X because your body will have the fuel (nutrients) it needs to perform. Lots of veggies, lean protein and water. Don't starve yourself, fuel yourself with the right kind of fuel.

Just some random thoughts: Add more protein packed foods. Dairy? Low fat cheese, yogurt, milk. Dip your pretzels in hummus or peanut butter. You'll probably go over your protein, but it'll be okay. 2 TBSP of PB contains 200 calories. Hummus is also calorie dense and good for you with lots of protein. Also, add more fruit…

Why are you at the gym if not to sweat?

Cuties!!

Sleep! Especially if you're only getting 5-5 1/2 hours of sleep a night. Ideally you "should" be getting at least 7.

The problem is that it is becoming a government issue. The military is having a hard time recruiting because many of the current recruits are over weight and don't meet the weight standards. That is a national security issue and IS something the government is worried about. Also, We spend BILLIONS of dollars on weight…

Keep at it!! You're just starting out and it will get easier and you WILL be able to complete it. Just don't give up! Trust me, making it through that first workout will be the best feeling EVER. If you can, you could also try pausing between exercises and taking a 1-2 minute (standing) break. This way you're resting and…

^This. There are lots of moves you can do standing up that will strengthen your core. You could also try planks. Using a cable machine (if you have gym access) is also great. You do the same crunch moves, but hold the cable over your head, or in front of you for obliques and twist side to side. There are also a lot of…

Oils, nuts, and avocados are all very calorie dense foods. You could also try snacking, (if you currently aren't). Eat some veggies with hummus - good nutrition, plus the hummus is calorie dense. Grilled cheese is only bad if you have a cholesterol problem. Also, when you workout, change things up. Don't always do the same…

Just leave it. If you're not feeling hungry, don't eat. Just get enough water. If you increase your calorie intake, technically you can increase the amounts of everything (fat/carbs/etc) - since they're set to the initial intake calories. Make sure you've had enough protein.

I'll still do the cardio, but it might not be as intense. It really depends on how rubbery my legs feel after the leg workout. I'll start running and can tell if its just not happening and will do a brisk walk or elliptical instead. I tend to get my heart rate up a bit during leg workouts, though.

I don't care whether or not its poison - I avoid it just because I prefer the taste of table sugar over HFCS.

Probably should start slow and build up - you're body and baby need to adjust. Talk to your doctor and get their recommendations.

Gyms are definitely great when it starts getting dark and cold outside. Its definitely dark when I leave work in the NW. I try and get a run in as soon as I get home and just stick to well lit areas and stay extra cautious with cars since its hard to see. Bundle up. I'll also go for a ~20 min. walk at lunch.

Also checkout Cookinglight.com they have a great list of Thanksgiving staples and I haven't been disappointed with their recipes yet. But on other notes: Turkey, white meat, Sweet potatoes, wheat rolls, butter/gravy (about the same) , try cornbread stuffing.

Try going to public health or planned parenthood - the cost is based on your income. I used them all through college because I didn't have insurance. The BC was MUCH cheaper and I had a really great doctor. Kind of wish I didn't have to stop going once I got a job.
