I don't. I eat TDEE - a %age (for ages it was minus about 20%, now it's a lower percentage) and don't eat them back. The simple reason for this is that my burns can very greatly depending on if it's a gym day, a walk day, a netball day etc etc. It was too much up and down for me to cope with in terms of intake so I…

thanks! so do you :)

my new comparison.... 25 kilos difference. I'm 174 cm tall (just over 5'8) and was 105kg in the left hand pics and am 80 kg on the right.

It's like a drug!

thanks... I'd have scoffed at anyone saying this before I got there and realised that's the true change!

Last time I didn't do it right. I didn't eat enough, I worked out far too hard, and it wasn't sustainable. When chaos erupted in my life and I wasn't in healthy patterns, and then I got injured, my default was not to eat well and treat my body right. It was to eat too much crap then feel guilty and not eat and end up…

haha yeah me too. and it's selfie central on facebook :S
-
Maybe you're right! After all my main goal was to feel happy, confident and secure!
-
Yep that's pretty much where I am. Scale fluctuations don't worry me, I can assess my body clinically and decide where I want to be a bit tauter, but not get too concerned over the details. Loving it :)

I was disappointed nearly the whole journey. It felt slow and annoying even though it wasn't that *difficult*. It has taken me 9 months and 23 kg to feel like I achieved anything but now that I get it I'm super stoked with where I'm at.

my TOP goal is don't look at it as a weight loss journey. Look at it as a health and wellbeing journey. If you are healthy and well, fueling your body well and using energy, then you won't have a weight issue, so it's a non-issue :)

oh that's a good idea. I'm being a bit overly cautious due to my thyroid disorder, probably. Just better to know what I'm up to I guess. Hopefully I can get back to my normal healthy eating soon :)

Changed, city, broke my foot badly, had a depressive breakdown, depression, depression depression, broke the other foot, depression, stopped caring.

You have to eat *over* your BMR. Under isn't healthy, sustainable or effective xx
-
Is your current intake over your BMR?
-
It confused the hell out of me and nearly made me give up, so I read a million things and worked it out to 'Eat over BMR. Eat under TDEE. If you do extra workouts, eat extra food. Drink water' Worked for me....
-
BMI is a crock, BMR is useful :) That's the main difference to me! Seriously though, using any of the sites people are posting will give you a launch point but it's trial and error as to whats perfect for you. Good luck :)

I love how everyone has reacted to this and I LOVE that other people are sharing. On top of the world, still :)
-
I felt exactly like this last eek then it just snapped together :)
-
I SO am :D

it would have been comical to watch. They're 90's Levis, bootcut and higher rise than I'm used to. I was like why is there so much fabric around my ankles? (used to skinnies), then 'what is happening around my waist? and so on. took a few mins to get it!
