They use Propylene glycol to defrost planes.

Yes I think it's very possible, sensitive foods for him are sugars, gluten and hypoglycaemia. Feel free to PM me if you'd like to talk about it xx

Have you looked at trigger foods that make you better or worse? Maybe paying careful attention to dietary links would help. (My son has autism and some foods affect him more than others). Just a thought :)

Lets face it thou many people will not give up meat, insisting on animal welfare is going to be more impactive. Your more likely to turn a meat eater towards eating meat from grassfed farms than you are to turn them vegetarian. I do agree thou that both will make a difference but id never give up meat for health reasons.
-
I think we should stop eating factory farmed meat and choose to eat grassfed free range organic meat. This is no more expensive if you source it right. I don't believe becoming vegetarian solves the problem at all.

I agree with much of what you said :) funnily enough I was discussing food rationing with my 95 year old grannie and she was telling me about the meat/dairy/fat allowances etc 2oz of butter a week, no full meat joints unless you were in a large family. They would make pastry using mash potato to reduce the fat in it so to…

Anytime :) they are also right on its not possible to spot reduce but it's been my experience that stomach fat is real stubborn and therefore the diet needs to be right. From what you've said....you do need to change things. Start with one thing. Eat eggs for breakfast tomorrow. Then see how you feel over the morning. Or…

It's all in the diet for stomach fat mostly. The only other thing that will make you retain body fat is high cortisol levels. What's your diet like? Great job on your exercise :) I've taken a look at your diary. My advice: be consistent in your logging. Try to move away from processed foods and incorporate some good…

From this article: Protein is one of the most essential parts of our body. The growth of our hairs, development of our muscles, bones, ligaments and other tissues primarily depends on our protein intake. Without protein human body would lack the necessary hormones and enzymes which are crucial for digestion, metabolism and…
-
Unfortunately protein and fat are two things the body can not be without. For health reasons I would advise seriously upping your protein and fat intake.

Body fat callipers can be really accurate if done by a well experienced person. They should measure and mark out points on your body and these points should be checked three times over before the calculation is done. Scales are extremely inaccurate. The important thing is that whatever measure you use that the number is…

Personally everything I eat has one ingredient. I don't eat the foods or drink the liquids that have it in. Personal choice due to neurological disease. When you get sick you get pretty choosy on what you put into your body.

Lol

I agree with Matt, each to their own but I object when people say meat is unhealthy when it isn't. By all means make your own choices but that doesn't make your diet superior to mine.

I think my stomach would explode on four scones and then id go into a carb coma. Lol
-
Agreed but she didnt say she is using IF nor the healthy foods that you refer to. Nor is the 900 cal breakfast her only high cal meal of the day. Her problem is eating under her calorie allowance, simplest way to do so is to reduce portion size and therefor cals in each meal.
-
Oh I see lol sorry I thought you were implying you weren't lucky enough to have that kind of meat. I too wish I could hunt for my own food. :)
-
You can't source this why? I know of UK and USA grassfed organic pasteurised meat is available and is delivered to you
-
A biscuit to an American is like a scone to us in the UK, we would never eat four in one sitting. A biscuit in the UK is like a cookie in the states in which case a lot of people would eat 4 lol. I personally don't eat any of it. I think whether it will make you fat depend on how carb sensitive/insulin sensitive you are.…

I disagree 900 calories is a lot for a meal if your trying to lose weight. I'd doubt you'd find a nutritionist that felt any differently. Can I ask what your results have been? Are you eating 900 cals at your goal weight? Because as you get smaller you need less intake which is why it's important to work out the correct…

I live in the UK but I was in Florida in January and was shocked at how soybean oil is in everything! Here we have vegetable oil in everything which is no better. In the USA soy is subsidised which makes it super cheap!
-
That's great :) I love that it's so much easier to source good meat with high welfare standards now. ????
-
That's it thou, it's the treatment of the animal right? So that's why you have to source the meat from the right place. Chickens I but roam freely and forage for their own diet. Also....beef consumption is going down....obesity and heart disease going up.
-
As is carbohydrate and sugar consumption whilst fat intake levels drop yet we have far more obesity and heart disease!
-
In fairness Quorn have really cleaned up their food products. I'm in the UK and I order all my meat from www.greenpasturesfarm.co.uk
-
We do now :) London and Cheltenham!

Their Grassfed meat :)

Sunwarrior Protein powder - clean supplement with brown rice as protein source. I have a lot of food allergies (even react to help in Vega products) but this one was great

Following this thread, I became open and undecided as to the effect of soy on the body. This is interesting: http://www.fda.gov/ohrms/dockets/dockets/04q0151/04Q-0151-emc0002-vol4.doc It contains a great deal of soy studies and will give you the basis of research should you want to look into it further as I will :) This is…

Isn't soy eaten mostly fermented in Japan?
