You can pick up right where you left off by clicking on the star at the top of the page to add this to your favorites. Whenever you click on the…

Lori- Glad to hear that your husband's mass was nothing to worry about! I'm looking out my window this morning and it looks grey. I hope the sun peeks out later for your sake and for everyone else who suffers with SAD. bluetopazsnake- Welcome! You're right that life will always be busy and you will always be able to make…

@mountmary84 ~ The ice rink is at Tri County Ice Arena in Neenah. Tried bean soup in the slow cooker today. Yum....too bad my entire family has voted 'meh' to it. Looks like I will be eating bean soup for lunch for the rest of the week. Oh, well. Their loss! January All-in: 6/12 Mantra: You Know Better!

@MKknits ~ If you have a y membership, your daughter might enjoy running around the track more than running in place. Though, you are still running to nowhere. Our y has a youth area with a couple treadmills for kids ages 7 and up, and my kids really like watching cartoons and walking on them. In the adult area, they have…

@mnwalkingqueen ~ Happy Last Day of Break. I love that you said you're straight up doing nothing, but that today is laundry day. What a very "mom" thing to do! Even on the days where we're doing nothing, we're doing something. Ha!

@angiefaychai and @saggyandbaggy ~ Congratulations on the huge weight losses! Keep up the hard work of keeping it gone and going for more! @jtconst ~ Have fun with that new bike! I love riding, but it will be a while before the weather lets that happen in WI. @nannersp61 ~ I love that more and more places and functions are…

Just a quick post to let you know I haven't disappeared. Reading along, but no time to respond. Trying to fight off a cold, so I'm falling asleep earlier than usual. Belated Thursday Truth: I shall never reach my goals whilst eating entire packages of string cheese. Friday Fitness....um. Fitness has been almost…

I wore saddle shoes in grade school....but, only because they were "retro cool" then. Ha! Stay warm everyone! I draw blood all day, and there is a lot of small talk with patients...guess what everyone wanted to talk about today? The best was when one man's response to my "Have a great day!" was "You have a great day, too,…

Another Oldie coming back to the group after a crazy holiday hiatus! B) What a great shot of energy and massive number of posts to the thread from all the newbies and regulars over the last month! So, a little share for those who don't know already...I am a 35 year old mom of two, married for 8 years and I work in the lab…

Wednesday Wish: That I get right to work on my to-do's at home tonight after work and we have the basement all set for tomorrow's new flooring installation. We're getting new carpet and vinyl down there. It was probably time for the carpet to be replaced soon anyway, but as a push, our sewer backed up and got onto the…

Today is my son's 6th birthday. My daughter thought he looked sad on the way to school this morning, but he said he was just turning more serious because that's what happens to boys as they get older. HA! I lost 2.6 lbs this week. Thank goodness, because the scale has been trending upward since August/September.

Happy Saturday, everyone! I am working at the peds clinic this weekend and it's been a whirlwind of sore throats and congestion....using my PPE and washing frequently. Hope I don't catch anything right before Christmas! And I hope all these kids feel better! I've been so busy with work and Christmas prep and my 12 Healthy…

Tom- Nice new pic, St Nick! I put a fun size bag of M&M's and new socks in each kid's stockings last night. Then my husband and I sat down to watch tv, and each ate a fun size bag of M&M's and a diet coke. My husband left his empty coke can and his M&M bag out when he went to bed. The kids woke up early and were thrilled…

Robin- Sorry to hear the cash and credit cards were all gone, but good news that you got your wallet and drivers license back. At least you won't have to go through the cost and trial of obtaining a new one from the DMV! Also, great job getting out and getting moving! Cblue- I love your mantra. I'll have to keep that one…

Robin- I'm sorry you're having a rough week. First the internet issues and now your stolen billfold. I hope it is recovered! WATER: 52/496 SALAD: 3/31 EXERCISE: 3/31

Congratulations to all who lost weight in November! I am up, but not giving up! My All-in for December: 1. Get all my water in every day. For me to drink half my body weight in ounces is equivalent to approximately 16 8-oz glasses of water every day. So, in total, I will drink 496 glasses of water this month!…

Been MIA again...freaking holidays and being busy do it to me all the time. I will not let it affect the scale this year! In addition to joining the Y challenge, I joined my cousin's fb group she just started. She's a beach body person. It's 12 Days to Healthy Holidays...or something like that. The point is that we get a…

Thursday Truth- I don't have time for this runny-nose nonsense either, Skinny! I have to travel about an hour away from home today for a leadership seminar for work. I think I may be anxious about it....I dreamt this morning that I was at the seminar. I dreamt I was late, I was wearing winter boots because there was eight…

L2T- "generally fabulous"--LOL! Thanks for your Monday confession. I need to weigh daily, too. I stopped and got lazy about logging for the last couple months and also gained. Kaye- I hope your knee heals well and your ice shoe thingys come soon. Skinny- I have a cold this week too. Also tried to deny it. Now I'm just…

The great thing about running in the snow and freezing temps is that even though your shoes are covered, you don't feel wet until you get home and thaw out! Even so, I went for treadmill on Monday night. ;)

First substantial snowfall of the season here last night...about half an inch on the ground this morning. Pretty 2.13 miles today in our winter runnerland.

We got about half an inch of snow last night, so I went for my first snow-run of the year this morning. When I got home, I brushed off the cars and shoveled. Welcome Winter and your built-in cardio/strength-training snowstorms.

soosun- I think people are just typing an "@" in front of people's screen names and the new format was highlighting it like it was a link. ie: @soosun To get your ticker with the lbs to lose or lbs lost, you need to copy and paste the link to your ticker every time you post. If you go to the MFP home page, click on "Apps"…

Another cold one this morning...

Welcome, SassenachJones! Check out page one for suggestions and an idea of how the group works. We're here to support and encourage one another. MountMary- I thought I saw that you were living in the Fox Valley or nearby...if you're looking for new shoes, you might want to consider getting fitted, even for walking…

Good job on finding the good, Lori! It gets so hard when the days get so short this time of year. For my part, I went out early this morning under the moon and the big dipper for my first run since doing the half-marathon in September. Bundled up and did 1.3 miles in 20 degrees. Brrrr! Time for a warm shower! Have…
