You want motivation? How about this? Try doing what you want -- six pack abs -- when you are three times your age. Mine. I told you how tough it is going to be for me. Do it now. While you can. You're young, you're strong. Willpower. Tough, I know. Anything worthwhile in life isn't easy. No one said it was going to be…

False. TNP has been to a live opera.

Or they couldn't read it because their lips were tired?

^^^ THIS^^^ Good luck. And do it now if you can. I'm on the same journey trying to get the same six pack. But it is much easier for you. Trust me. Those 40 years in age difference makes a world of difference. I know it ain't easy and may be impossible at 57. But I'm not giving up. If you want to see someone trying it from…

False -- no BBQ, but I am grilling up some tasty pork chops later. TNP has used recipes from Southern Living Magazine.

Behold, the power of puppy fart:

That's what I've always been taught and that's what I've done to get where I'm at. I eat 5-6 times a day. Even at 1200-1400 calories a day total. And I've almost never been hungry at all. The body gets used to being fed and the metabolism gets going. I had my RMR tested a few weeks ago. The dietician who tested it was…

Did you ruin your metabolism? No. It takes a while for it to come back, but it never is dead forever. Sounds like yours is fine now. So I wouldn't worry about that at all.

False. Not now anyway. TNP is watching the British Open.

False. More of an Encyclopedia Brown kid myself (boy, will that date me). TNP thinks it's funny that we have to call that great book Moby Richard here because if we use its real name, it will get asterisked out.

You realize the volume goes to 11 BECAUSE YOU NEED IT THAT LOUD You it's a good night because you only had to get up twice to pee.

OMG, I love the Briard.

Keep this handy:

False. Just hoping the @#%!#@$#!!# pager doesn't go off. TNP has already pre-logged tomorrow's food entries.

I've got a friend here who had her cheat meal recently. Over 2700 calories. And it was great for her. She needed it, we laughed about it. And she was down 3 pounds this weigh in. Yours doesn't even qualify as a a cheat snack or cheat appetizer. Yup, obsessive. This weight loss journey we are on is not some sort of cosmic…

Thank you, no. False. TNP hasn't eaten dinner yet.

I've always found eating a lot more often in a lot smaller meals helps. Eating 5, 6, 7 times a day and I've never been hungry, even on 1200 calories. That and drink water and lots of it.

The only problem I have with that last post (which I won't copy since it is so long) is that is very general. Yes it is a great place for people to start. It is a great place for someone who is math-phobic. But everyone has a different idea of what light, moderate, and hard exercise is, so the multipliers can be skewed…

Oh, and GOOD LUCK WITH THE BABY. CONGRATULATIONS.
-
Yes, one big tip. Talk to your OB/GYN. At this point, it is as much about your baby as you. The OB should be able to advise you on what is best for both of you. He may refer you to a dietician for any additional guidance. But I surely wouldn't take the advice of strangers on a website when it comes to the health of my…

Anything else I can do, just send me a message.

Under the Food heading there is a button for Recipes. To the right on that screen there is a button to enter "My Recipes". Enter the recipes. It will calculate the calories based upon the number of servings. Once you have done that, when you add a food to a meal, there is a place on there for "recipes". Good luck.

Lots of people do. And it's water. Because if you think you really burned 10,000 calories a day for 5 days (which is what it would take to lose 11 pounds of weight in 5 days, assuming a TDEE of 2200), I'd love to know what you did for those 5 days.
