I'm not into that type of diet, but you might want to look up intermittent fasting or the 5:2 diet. I believe it follows similar principles.

Aww, I thought this was about how your Florida is better than my Florida.

It's right between the "share my runs" and "distance units" for me. What kind of phone are you using? I'm running it on an iPhone 4s. Maybe it's different for different platforms?

In the bottom left corner of my screen, I have a "gear" that opens settings. It lets me turn up the "game volume" there.

Around 8 cups. I try to drink four 16.9oz/500ml bottles a day. Though I still drink 2-3 cans of pop a day as well.

I'm only in Week 2, but I'm surprised how quickly it's gotten easier! Technically, I did Week 1 twice -- just not consecutively. I started, went on vacation, and then decided I should re-start so today I finished W2D2. Yesterday was an off-day, but I was bored and went for a walk/jog and at one point I ended up jogging 8…

I don't think it matters, so long as you can enter your correct gender in the data. I think the difference between male/female is the watch size is a bit bigger for men?

Exercise. I don't have a huge sweet tooth, so it's not that hard for me to avoid eating junk so long as I don't get it in my system. I crave sugar after I eat sugar, so I just...try to limit its accessibility :) Exercise, though, there's always a million-and-one excuses. It's too cold outside, the gym is too far away, I'm…

Have you thought about trying a program like C25k to help you start? I started that (and Zombie, Run! 5k training) about 2 weeks ago and it definitely helps keep me on track without wearing me completely out.

Welcome -- anyone can feel free to add me :)

In order to burn calories like you want, you need to get your heart rate elevated. That's kind of difficult from a sitting, seat-belted position. If there's room, you could do some air punches. Jillian Michaels uses them in 30DS (granted, you're squatting then, not sitting) and said it's a good way to get a little cardio…

I did 30DS about a year ago. I took one rest day per level, randomly when I felt like I needed it. I don't have any before/after pics, but I was definitely pleased with the results and felt much stronger! Each level feels like murder for the first few days, but they get easier. Also, if I remember correctly, I think I…

I haven't given up my diet coke yet, but I'm working on limiting my intake. I used to drink probably 6-8+ cans a day, but right now I'm drinking only 2-3. I took it in steps. Step 1 - I made sure I was drinking my 8 glasses of water per day. With all that water, I just wasn't thirsty. Step 2 - I'm trying to limit myself to…

I'm using the Zombies, Run 5k training app along with my regular C25k app. Fun so far, but can't wait to get to the missions :)

I have the FT4. I, too, was debating between the FT4 and FT7 but I figured that I didn't need the extra doo-dads the FT7 came with. I also wear it as a watch to work!

Definitely interested, yes please!

There's no "best" answer. Some people like to weigh themselves every day to see how different foods/activities affect them. Weigh yourself as often as you want, but if you get depressed by the normal fluctuations of daily life, try doing it less often. I think once a week is a generally safe standard.

Most people will say its OK to go over your protein goals. Consider it a minimum rather than the maximum. Sometimes I crave peanut butter, but I don't know if my body is hinting it wants protein or if its just too darned tasty!
-
Maybe pre-plan your meals so it's not a battle throughout the day?

Well...it's in your system for the next ~3 months, so calm down and just try to deal with it as it comes. Numerous studies doubt whether BC actually *causes* weight gain, and I believe I've heard some people think the weight gain is more due to an increase in hunger than anything else. Count your calories, make smart…

:) Anyone else? I'm friendly, I promise!

Feel free to add me (anyone)! I'm looking for some new friends to help keep me motivated :)

Thank you! I will.

I did W1D1 again yesterday. I actually completed Week 1 about 3 weeks ago, but then I went abroad for spring break and just could NOT run outside in below freezing temperatures with 18 mph winds. When I did week 1 last month, I was in the gym on the treadmill -- but since the weather's finally warming up, I did it outside…

You've given yourself your answer already. Wake up at 5, go for a walk at lunch...I don't think most people "find" time to work out, they make time. Pop in a DVD right after the kids go to bed or ask your SO to make dinner a few times a week so you can squeeze one in?
