  • Never giving up any of my concert shirts. Even if my KMFDM XXL's hang down below knees I'll use them as nightshirts. :) Maybe a year from now I'll be using them in my after pictures.
  • I might be less than 7. My wife made fun of me for buying the Chobani Champions greek yogurt. If they had chocolate chip or orange creamsicle in the regular containers I would have bought that, but they didn't! Favorite snacks if I'm short on calories....Blue Diamond Dark Chocolate Roasted almonds. Another thing I do is…
  • Drink lots of water; eat less sodium. 2 months from now you'll go out for a nice dinner and the scale will go up 7 pounds in one day because you ate a ton of sodium. You can lose the water weight but there's not much point to it. As soon as you change your behavior it's going to come back. It's more important to focus on…
  • Me reading this thread... Siouxsie!!! Cool!. Wow...you look so pretty. Boobies! (sorry) Great work; you look amazing.
  • I won't stop believing. Good work!
  • Last night was Taco Night. I had three mexican style tacos (soft shell tortilla, onion and cilantto...no cheese or sour cream) and a small portion of chips and guacamole and was 800 calories below my TDEE but the scale was up 1.5 pounds this morning. Pretty sure I didn't accidentally eat an extra 5000 calories and not…
  • I've got the Link. It's invisible under my clothes.
  • They might not all be Jealous. I am noticing when I look at some of the success stories on here when they post a series of pictures over time I keep thinking...wow..they look great...that must be the end. And then there are more pictures that look even better after it and I realize that my perception of what healthy people…
  • Lies!!! I'm wearing three different pants sizes and two different shirt sizes. I also have a couple shirts in the larger of those two sizes that I can't even button. Clothing sizing is bad all around.
  • So the scale said the same thing today that it did last Sunday morning. I'm going back to just weighing every day. I don't know if I was less hydrated last weekend than I am this morning and can't really guess. I have decided I prefer to see the daily fluctuations that will give me a general idea over time that I'm heading…
  • Finally did it....2200 mg sodium on a work day. I only ate 1600 calories but I feel like I'm still learning as I go. Lean Cuisine pizza is the first frozen prepared food I've found that comes even close to 1mg of Sodium per calorie. Going to keep looking for more.
  • Go to the dashboard and click the little upside down triangle to the left of "Calories Burned". Now you can see the nice detailed graph of calorie burn for the whole day. By the way...those 2 cal/minute I get working at the computer....it's basically the same rate I burn when I'm sleeping. Yay desk job! Also, when I roll…
  • I have been weighing in every day and if it's lower than what MFP has in the system I log it. That's been working pretty well. After seeing a few threads like this one I decided to not weigh in for a week. Tomorrow is weigh in day so I'll see how it worked for me. Anticapation is getting to me though; I think I'll probably…
  • Can of Turkey chili (Yummy but high sodium) Campbell's Healthy Request Chunky New England Clam Chowder (A can of this is very filling but still has a little more sodium than I'd like) Lean cuisine Deep Dish Spinach Mushroom Pizza or Chicken BBQ Pizza (dunno if those are dishes you already ruled out but some of the lower…
  • If it's good chicken vindaloo it will go through you so fast you might lose weight! Especially if you're not good with spicy foods. Most Indian restaurants you can start the meal with a salad although I'm not familiar with the dressings they use. I haven't hit an Indian restaurant since I started my MFP journey. It might…
  • I'm probably working in the opposite direction. I'll pick sugar over any artificial sweetener or high fructose corn syrup. I just want my calories to add up, get enough nutrients and try to balance out my carbs, fat and protein. I will admit that most artificial sweeteners make me start reaching for my tin foil hat but if…
  • Sometimes I have to work to eat back my calories so I buy the Silk Dark Chocolate Almond milk because it has more calories. And so yummy. It might even be good for me...but...yummy....
  • Bring it on. I'll eat a cheeseburger that fits my calorie budget before I'll drink a Coke or even eat a granola bar that's made with high fructose corn syrup. Throw out all this processed crap and give me back my home's home cooking.
  • You're probably much healthier to start with than someone like me. I burn just shy of 2 cal/minute sitting at my computer and working. The BML has an accelerometer in it. I suspect that the people who see a rise in calories driving are possibly doing city driving where they stop and go a lot. Also possible that they love…
  • I've had mine for a month now and I believe that it's very accurate. I haven't noticed any spikes in activity level when I've been driving and the readings seem consistent across days of similar levels of activity. They also match well with what was predicted using some of the online tools I found while reading these…
  • I should have added one thing I have done is gotten the steam in bag frozen veggies and nuke them and crack some pepper over them. I only have to deal with making half a meal from scratch and the side at least is no worries and not processed food. Anyone seen a study that follows people eating elevated levels of sodium and…
  • I am having the exact same issue. The more I rely on prepared foods to make up for my hectic schedule the more sodium I wind up eating. I'm doing great on calories and cholesterol but just looking to work through my issues with sodium. I logged all of my food at the Superbowl party this past week and MFP rewarded me with…
  • Lent is about six weeks long so I'm planning on giving up about twelve pounds. Crossing my fingers.....
  • My wife was looking at GPS watches but we wound up just going with some running apps for her smartphone since it already has a GPS. Now we're just trying to decide on a decent HRM watch. I'm also interested if people have recommendations for a decent one.
  • My wife got into hula hooping after seeing someone with a quality hoop at a fitness expo she went to. She got so into it that she started making her own hoops. We were buying spools of flexible pvc at home depot and cutting it to different lengths and putting a connector in the ends then taping them with cloth athletic…
  • You look great; that's amazing progress. I love your I heart Weed shirt; gave me a good laugh.
  • Lol...I scrolled down through the pictures and actually said "Holy *kitten*" out loud before I even got to the last one. Awesome work!
  • Like someone suggested above see if you can get referred to a physical therapist (assuming your insurance covers it or you can afford it otherwise). I had 6 weeks of Physical Therapy for Tendonitis in my Achilles tendon and PT worked out very well for me and I saw a lot of people with varying circumstances and difficulties…
  • Beans...almost every kind.... Not sure why but the texture of most beans kicks off my gag reflex. I occassionaly accidentally eat something with beans in it and as soon as I start chewing I know there are beans. Don't even dislike the flavor. Oh well...I guess I'll have to stick with steak. :) Actually, loving greek yogurt…
  • Bolthouse Farms chunky blue cheese yogurt dressing. 35 calories for 2 tablespoons.
