I worked on changing what I eat. I have a shelf in the fridge that has all my healthy choices. So I don't exactly plan, but i have choices I planned on I can eat from without guilt.

Over the years I fell into eating whatever and when ever. But I changed most foods I eat 2 months before I started tracking food and calories. I did it so id get used to eating healthier foods. I created a shelf in the fridge for the foods i liked. And it is really working for me to keep me on track.

I get enough protein in my diet for food alone. I don't add any. There is such thing as to much. After my own research, its hard to eat less than the daily requirements if you eat a healthy diet.

I eat 1200 - 1400 a day. I would up it just a little. I eat ultra healthy and fudge sometime. If you don't fuel the body, it holds onto the fat. Look up what your body's daily needs are and then subtract 500. Thats how I understood it. But I was told not less that 1200. You can google a caloric needs calculator.

Usually Tomato Paste is tomatoes only. If the label says sugars in the carb section, it is naturally occurring sugar.

I eat the chocolate!!! A high Quality High Cocoa content chocolate. No less that 55% but usually 65% or more. It IS GOOD FOR YOU!!! I love it and eat it when I crave it. Just in small bits!!

I was told people stall progress in the 2nd or 3 week and then drop again after. Not sure how true it is, but I do know, keeping at it only result in losing fat, gaining Muscle, and feeling Great!!

Add more fiber rich foods in your daily meals. It helps even it out so you snack less and then feel like you have more control. I'm a snacker, Its helped me a lot. I dont tell myself no either.
