Late to join the party, but we'll just call it fashionably late ;) I started June on vacation in Aruba, so you can imagine my derailment lol. I gained 3.6 in Aruba and about 2 before I left (over a month or so). I haven't been consistent enough, so I think this is the challenge for me! Yesterday I pulled myself back up on…

I'm another with PCOS - this does seem to be the WOE that suits it best. Once you get in a good groove you'll love it - it's a little tough at first to adjust (like any other eating plan), but once you hit your stride it's easy and you'll love it. That's how it is for me anyway :) Good luck, it's a great bunch of helpful…

8 mile bike ride this morning - what a gorgeous morning it was. I worked in a quick stop at the grocery store for half and half (mine was bad after vacation) and surprise donuts for the kiddos when they wake up, too. Lifts tomorrow :)

@ninenines I'm truly sorry for your loss, peace to you and yours. Back from Aruba where I did zero weight training. Got some cardio in by default, but enjoyed the heck out of the break! I did gain about 3.5 pounds that I'm lovingly referring to as my Aruba baby. Deloaded on my first day back - good idea, apparently because…

My vacation starts Saturday in Aruba and I'm thinking I'll see similar numbers when I return! I hope I'm wrong, but it's ok if I'm right. I'm going to weigh myself in the morning and see where I'm at. I think I've gained a few pounds in the last couple of weeks, so my starting number will likely be a disappointment anyways…

I'm gonna have to say - I really feel my intelligence level is well beyond this. I know that shocking myself will hurt, therefore I won't do it. So it would be a complete waste of money LOL.

Ok, so yesterday - 7 mile bike ride. Today lifting. Squats: 2x5x45, 1x3x75, 5x5x120 OHP: 2x5x45, 5x5x75 Dead: 1x5x140 Seriously grumpy lifter this morning, I had a whole lot of hatred to the squats. I think being in Aruba next week, away from lifting for a week, may be what I need to recharge on it. I won't allow myself to…

Catching up! Saturday: Squats: 2x5x45, 1x3x75, 5x5x120 OHP: 2x5x45, 5x5x75 (bumped these up 5# and it was fine) Deads: 1x5x135 After lifting I took my twins to Six Flags Great America for their 12th birthday and spent the day walking around, so got plenty of movement - actually hit 10000 steps which basically never happens…

Skipped cardio yesterday but lifting today. Squats: 2x5x45, 2x3x75, 5x5x120 Bench: 2x5x45, 5x5x85 Row: 5x5x85 Bumped the bench/row up 5 today finally. Felt ok, a little hard but not excessively. I'm toying with bumping the squats...hm.

Sorry about the multiple posts - my computer was stuck on the same screen just processing the request. I refreshed it and hit post reply and bam - 3. MFP, you trickster.

I dragged myself to the basement this morning and forced a workout. I'm in a sulggish and weak slump right now and I'm not sure why. It was so hard, though, to lift the SAME weights I've been lifting for weeks. It was like I was just a wet noodle, cursing the day weights were invented lol. I need to be shaken...or maybe I…

Thanks guys, I'm just going to make this trip a relaxing one and not worry about it. We'll be on the move a lot and that will be good enough

Lots of cleaning to do today. Getting the lifts in, though. Almost done! Squats: 2x5x45, 1x3x75, 5x5x120 Bench: 2x5x45, 5x5x80 Row: 5x5x80 Moms in town tomorrow, time to bust a move on messes!

Yeah, I've missed a week before and the app told me what to deload. I'll just roll with it and do what I feel like doing :)

I am one of the lucky ones that doesn't often get cravings for things - I don't have trigger foods or anything. I use the Atkins bars occasionally (if they fit), and I also use their frozen dinners for work if I don't have leftovers available. I don't love that I'm eating the processed food, but I have to do what fits and…

Walked 2.5 miles outside this morning. It felt sort of boring/useless, but my body parts aren't agreeable with exertion from the fall. So there was no running or riding happening today...even with the walk my beat up knee started to get grumpy about halfway through. It'll be nice to be healed up...lifts tomorrow if…

I can lift it over my head, but that's when it hurts the most. So weird. Feeling a little better today...we'll see how the lifts go tomorrow for the bench/row. I'll stop if it's troublesome, but I'm hopeful...

I think we may be a match! Me: Age: 37 Height: 5' 7.5" HW: 232 (after kids) LW: 155 CW: 170 (ish - haven't weighed in while) Goal: 155 (this is subjective and more based on how I look/feel than on a number on the scale) I think my BF is around 27% or so...could be wrong

Thanks!

@wabmester - valid point! I am back in the saddle today and I'm hoping it's not terribly difficult. I think I should be pretty good to fall back into my better ways. My stomach is shredded from the 2 days (Mon/Wed) of bad choices and I have no desire to even eat anything that doesn't fit right in to my low carb ways. I…

The pains in the photo are not bad today, but my upper, outer right arm is sore. I know I contorted some (fell to the left and my right hand caught a lot of the weight). I lifted this morning, despite the pain there and it seems ok so far. Lucky! I'm so glad I didn't break any parts (like my wrists!). Squats: 2x5x45,…

Interesting! I know if I fall off the wagon somewhat and have a short period of days of higher carb, it takes about 5-7 days for my stomach to flatten back down. It's annoying. You'd think I would have learned by now to just not even go there. The yums don't taste yummy enough to outshine the body suck that happens the…

:D Funny.

7.5 mile bike ride that I so very eloquently wiped out on. Damages seem to be relatively minor I guess (some little aches popping up in odd spots - like my inner thigh and outer bicep - both on the right side of my body). I really hope I can lift tomorrow, I don't want to miss a workout!! Stupid slick turn! Dang it.
-
:o Holy crap! Nice work @Phrick Really, all of you are awesome! It's not an easy road, but all the progress is so nice to see!

I don't even know how, but I managed to drag myself out of bed and lift. It was hard and sloppy, but I'm glad I got it done. Last night was a banquet with open bar and wine with each of 4 courses. So you can imagine...lots of wayyyyyy off my plan food and wine. I knew it was coming, and I paid $80 for my husband and I to…

Nothing today - yesterday I went for a quick bike ride then went downtown to watch the Cubs win. That meant a lot of walking. My average steps a day are around 5500-6000...almost hit 10000 without trying yesterday. I went over on my calories/carbs, but I'm pretty sure my exercise offset the difference fairly well. Lifts…

Got my lifts and mini warmup in. Squats: 2x5x45, 1x3x75, 5x5x120 OHP: 2x5x45, 5x5x70 Dead: 1x5x135 It was ok...felt heavy at first but I adjusted quickly. Cubs game tomorrow...planning to get up and ride my bike in the morning if all goes well

8 mile bike ride this morning, lifting tomorrow. Gorgeous outside tonight, just blissful!!
