Thanks! I'm glad too, I was getting a little panicked that I'd have to lay low again. I swear it feels like every time I get in a good groove something comes along and makes it stop! Happy to be able to carry on - even at lower weights. :)

Thanks for the response! It's feeling loads better, still a little sore by the end of the day - but starts out almost pain free. Using it all day starts to add up, though, and it's stiff/sore by the evening. I did work out today and deloaded weight and paid very close attention to any aches. I think it's very possible that…

My sleep quality hasn't been the greatest...I wake up feeling tired even if I slept a while. I'm considering adding some melatonin in to my evening vitamins/supplements. I'm also wondering about moving magnesium from the evening to the morning...I've heard that in some people it can actually make sleep more difficult…

I do mornings because with my kids' schedules and my total lack of motivation late at night, it's the only thing that works. I'm not a morning person at all, so I don't love it - but I know if I don't do it in the AM it likely won't get done consistently. I use an app for my warm-up. It's 10 minutes long and includes 20…

I went ahead and did my workout today to see what I could handle with this shoulder issue. I did my 10 minutes of warmup. It included some planks and other movements that required pressure on my shoulder and it felt fine. So I moved on to the lifts but decided to drop weight on any arm-related lifts to ease in. It seemed…

Yeah, I think I'll just deload to the bar tomorrow for OHP and see how it feels. I won't push it, though. If it hurts...I'll ditch it and hop on the treadmill. Legs won't hurt the shoulder!

Did my usual lifts on Saturday morning (and warmup). Hurt my shoulder/arm somehow :(

I have PCOS and recently decided to not eat back exercise calories. I am not perfect with my calorie calculations with my foods so I use the exercise as a built in buffer. Even if I eat higher calories I don't generally suffer from it (because I don't add the exercise back in). Now, that said, my husband and I have been…

My heaviest was after I had my twins. I lost some weight when they were born, but quickly gained it all back and then some. I know you would think that having twins would keep you busy and moving enough to lose weight - it's not. It takes effort regardless of how many children you have. You can easily eat any calories you…

I pee all the time...and I have almost no ability to hold it for any significant period of time. It hasn't changed and it's been 4 months. I think it's just the way it's gonna be unless I drink less. On days that I do drink less, it's by far fewer trips to the restroom. But I get headaches if I don't drink enough - so I…

I've been having a rough week with my goals for some reason. It's not a feeling that I am splurging or giving in...or stopped caring. It's like my efforts are faulty. My calculations are bad, my snacking adds up, my meals are too much...it's like a weird combination of senseless reason. I don't even know what's going on, I…

Time for what they call a "Coming to Jesus!" meeting. You're going to have to bite the bullet and be very real with him. Tell him what you just told us in a way that you can handle it (and he can 'mostly' handle it - because he may not like what you have to say). Instead of coming to the table with "You need to...." come…

10 minute movement warm-up Squat: 2x5x45, 1x3x75, 5x5x105 OHP: 2x5x45, 5x5x65 Dead: 1x5x115 I may move up 5lbs on my squats next week - I feel like I'm comfortable with 105 form and breaks. My new method is to stay at each weight until I've perfected the form, can go through them fairly quickly and don't require any long…

Agreed! I could see being harder on yourself if you weren't doing anything - but the daily running is by FAR more than many do. Work with what you can now to get through the tough time. If you can fit a lift in without stressing about it, then do it...if not...start again when you can. Part of life...

@macchiatto - Mine took cheese sticks and rolled ham for lunch today with a piece of fruit, some Capri sun roaring water...and a little Debbie snack and chips. So more good than bad...it's a start...I think I'll start working on replacing the chips with nuts and/or crunchy veggies (carrots/celery). Tough stuff!

How old is your daughter, and how did you do this? I want to at the very least cut back some of the crap my kids are eating (they're 11 year old twins)...but they would totally notice if I stopped putting chips or brownies in their lunches. Both of them adore PBJ, but I could probably fairly easy transition that to a…

Does the fathead pizza re-heat well? I'm just curious if it's something you can make ahead and have for lunch at work...

I am 5' 7.5" and about 170 (likes to bounce between 170-172 lately). My calories are set to 1660/day, but I seem to regularly go above that threshold and occasionally I'm under. I work out 5x a week (3 lifting, 2 cardio) and I don't factor in any exercise calories to my intake. I'm losing really slowly...maybe .5/week…

@slimzandra & @dasher602014 -- glad they helped you guys. "Would it make a difference?" --- The first time this was said in the movie was when Tom Hanks said, "You know that they could execute you, right?" German: "Yes." Tom Hanks, "You don't seem to be very concerned about that." German: "Would it make a difference?" ---…

Treadmill today - still feeling like a lead weight. It's literally like torture to do anything physical at all. My whole body is like, "No." I definitely haven't been overdoing anything, so it's not that I need rest I don't think. My energy/strength is just in the tank. Rob swears it's the season change...I hope it goes…

Rob and I always go with, "The Mad Cow is flaring up" --- for any of you who watched Boston Legal, "Denny Crain" (William Shatner) always referred to his Alzheimer's as Mad Cow disease lol.

I think it all waxes and wanes - if you stay the course, the changes will come. Sometimes those changes are pokey *kitten* that you hate for taking so long and making you crazy...but, they show up at some point. Late with a half-empty bottle of wine, but hey, at least they're there, right?

I was struggling with the knowing I was making progress but not seeing it on the scale. It was driving me nuts. Then I put on some pants one morning and they were so baggie my husband was like, "You need new pants. They're falling off of you." The scale had not moved in 6 weeks when he said that. I measured...bam. Inches…

I would love to have an answer here - I imagine it could be hormone or thyroid related, but I'm no doc or expert. I know some people resort to cutting the dairy/sweeteners to see if it helps, so maybe? I'm sure someone with more knowledge than me will chime in soon :)

I haven't tried the fathead crust yet...I have good intentions and poor follow through lol. I will, though, I am curious about it. I will have to call the pizza place by my house and ask them if they would be able to do a special order for me. Maybe if I explain it to them, they'll get it. Or maybe they do that anyways...I…

Two of my favorite quotes to keep me from losing sanity lately: 1. "Not my circus, not my monkeys." 2. On worrying/stressing about xxxxx: "Would it make a difference?" (as in, would worrying make a difference in the outcome of something?) --- I picked this up from a movie I recently watched. It had Tom Hanks, he was a…

Definitely can affect your cycle! I have been having weird spotting since I started this WOE. I'm hoping I'm through it now...but it is definitely a factor in changing things around. Also, good luck with le bébé :)

They do this????? And I love burnt cheese...so.... I have no self control with pizza. I just eat it and call it splurge day. Because pizza. I mostly get thin crust, so it's marginally better. If there are enough slices that I don't feel like I'm being wasteful I'll take the toppings off one slice and double them on…

I had 2 eggs and 4 very skinny sad slices of bacon...I overcooked them a little and they were freakishly thin. I'm thinking I picked up the wrong package LOL. Oh well, it still tasted yummy, but it felt like it was just like 5 bacon bits per slice. That made me sad :(

I concur, this is a good answer! It all depends on your personal goals. In a previous post I wrote there was discussion about how much is enough. I am ok with either maintaining or VERY slowly moving my lifting load upwards - I still want to lose some weight, though, so my balance may be very different than someone who…
