Edit - I know this response wasn't to me, but thought it might help to remember that most of us here are working towards some type of physical goal, be it loss, strengthening, or maintenance. Threads like this are not the faint of heart, for sure. If your ego cannot take it, you shouldn't wade in. I don't think anyone…

The high end goal is to be down 12 lbs down and have my knee back in shape so I can get back to jogging 12-15 miles a week by the end of May. But I would be happy with 8 lbs, and 8 miles (gotta hedge your bets). Oh, and to be taking my meds and vitamins as directed. Just got the lecture from the Dr. yesterday...:embarassed:

Bartender for some of my 20s. It had it's frustrating moments - like dealing with one of the town drunks who enjoyed grossing out other patrons by removing his fake eye and rolling it around on the bar (SO unsanitary) - but for the most part it was pretty fun and paid well.

Free drinks are not the gift you seem to think. They come with a expectation for many senders - there is a sense of obligation that you must now at least engage in small talk with the buyer, which is an unwelcome imposition if you are just there trying catching up with a friend or some other specific purpose. I politely…

Past experience with some serious creepers through online dating is the main reason I don't have a profile pic here on MFP. I know this site isn't for dating, but instinct told me to beware. Perhaps at some point I will feel differently, but with ridiculous trolls like Nutellabrah out there (seriously, ladies, just use the…

Count me in. I am also doing the 200 mile Feb/March fitness goal, so this should help towards the weight loss goal as well. If anyone is interested: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/1189233-200-mile-challenge-feb-march?hl=200+miles&page=1#posts-18569487 I'll be back on the 1st!

So sorry about your friend, Zelinna.

Sounds Crohns-like, Meg, but it can be pretty hard to diagnose, and there are so many different digestive disorders! It is possible that you don't have any markers (polyps or lesions usually seen in colonoscopies) just yet. Or it's something else. I am so sorry to hear about your symptoms, all the tests (which I know…

I've had Crohn's for about 15 years or so. A couple years ago got sepsis in the gut, had several emergency surgeries, and emerged with 8 ft less of my small intestine and an ostomy for 4-5 months. Things are now pretty much under control with medication - that is the basically the only thing that works for me, other than…
