Excellent idea! Didn't know they had a station for that.

I love Imagine Dragons -- Radioactive is the song right now that gets me moving.

I wish more folks here had this positive and healthy attitude. It isn't about the scale always moving -- if we are making good choices, there are changes we can't even see going on in our bodies -- our bodies are getting healthier and stronger and sometimes this doesn't show on a scale OR a tape measure. Keep up the great…

I started at 447 with over 2400 calories -- now at 418 and at 2330 -- when you have this much body, it takes a lot of energy (kCals) to keep it working and moving -- anything less and you'd be starving -- so don't question the number -- you will lose weight -- and if you exercise, eat those too! You gotta fuel your…

Wow -- I had no idea! This is fascinating. And makes sense based on how I feel -- I know I am "working" -- I do get out of breath and my face is "flush" -- but I don't feel like my heart rate is really up there.

If it passes my lips -- it goes on the log - spices and all -- I use the build a recipe function and everything. I have had this attitude since day one. I have only had one occasion when I didn't log -- and it was a night of cocktails while out with my husband. And I felt extremely guilty for not logging. I am too afraid…

My experience has been every gym has a certain culture -- some are definitely "pick-up joints" -- people go there to see and be seen more so than they go to work-out. I found this a lot at gyms in Chicago. Other places have people who are there because they are very serious, hard-core fitness junkies -- and this can be…

This is really helpful advice -- I appreciate your taking the time to comment.

Let me join in with the resounding accolades -- AMAZING transformation -- you are way too cute and looking so healthy!! Great job!

I really needed to see this today -- I have a LOT of weight to lose -- so seeing the numbers on the scale decline is highly motivating. And they declined rapidly the first couple weeks -- then I started exercising -- swimming mostly, then added a daily walk. And the scale has positively stalled! And I am feeling so…

Congrats gorgeous girl!!

I am sure there are others that will agree....I needed to read this today. I got off to an amazing start -- and despite honest efforts, not "feeling" it in terms of loss or attitude the last few days. This did kick me in the right cheek!

Looking fabulous! Can't wait to see you after the next 1/3 of the journey!

I drink sun tea by the gallon-full. One of the benefits of living in Florida. I wash out milk jugs, fill them with filtered water-- plop in my favorite tea bags and set in the sun for a few hours. I don't add any sweeteners. Just plain, fresh-brewed sun-tea. My current favorite of the moment is Stash's Lemon Ginger.

YES!! And one of the main reasons I am finally embarking on a permanent lifestyle change. I don't want to be pumping myself full of medicine to correct problems that a healthier way of life will fix. This NSV post validates one of the main reasons for doing this -- it isn't just about pants size, a number on a scale, or…

This is a very amazing NSV!! Especially the enormous drop in the TGs -- good work!

I have only been on this site for 6 weeks but I had the above figured out before I started this process. It is very easy, however, to read the many posts on here -- all the various diets and schemes and calculations that folks employ -- and see how people are struggling to make what works for others work for them. It isn't…

I am so happy you started this thread -- and even happier to see so many wonderful stories of people doing this the old fashioned way -- through just plain diet and exercise. I am determined to do this without any supplements, surgeries, bizarre food combinations, shakes, etc -- I am prepared for it to take as long as it…

Best. Success. Story. EVER. Funny, honest -- no gimmicks, no fads, no extremes -- just honest to goodness healthy living. This is how I want to do it -- and give you me the most immense hope it can be done. Thank you!

I am in the same boat as you -- struggling to keep sodium down (have discovered that low calorie choices I was making, such as "healthy" soup and Lean Cuisines are LOADED with salt -- as well as most deli meat and cheeses, even the GOOD stuff!). I did find this list of 100 low sodium snacks online:…

An amazing transformation -- thank you for sharing your inspirational journey with us. Each of these stories gives me another ounce of courage and drive to keep going -- hard to be patient when you are just at the beginning, like I am -- but the end result is so worth the wait, as you prove!

Love me some airport NSVs! Looking forward to having some of my own someday. Keep up the amazing progress!

Not being able to buckle the seat belt in the car and finally peeking at the scale when I went to the doctor....I knew then it had gotten way out of control and I needed to take control back. No more making excuses.

Started here officially Jan. 7th -- 12 pounds down since that date. (You can't compare your loss to what everyone else posts -- don't use all of us as a benchmark. Every body is different -- heavier people like myself are going to lose more initially than those with less to lose -- any loss, even if half a pound, is a good…

Sounds like me! I do not like fruit. The texture of just about every fruit makes me gag. I love veggies -- none I won 't eat. But fruit -- YUCK!
-
This is so awesome!! Good for you -- this is a great victory!
-
This is a great NSV -- every small steps counts and counts big and I think it's great you are celebrating it! Keep up the good work!
-
Let me add to the accolades...you look fantastic!!
-
Congrats on the loss so far!! And I am really excited at the thought of being back in the 300s. That will probably seem so weird to some people -- but it really is one step at a time.

I think I read a story in the news a couple weeks back about that web site -- how does that work?
