  • My 13 year old daughter is a good shopping buddy. She gets me to try on things that are out of my comfort zone. Today I wore a long skirt with a dressy tank top. One of my co-workers commented that she could not believe how flat my tummy was and told me to "stop dressing fat". I thought that was pretty ironic after I had…
  • Wow! You did the shopping for me. Thanks! I will check out those links!
  • Just finished phase 2 - THANK GOD!!! It was tough and I am not an expert at all of it, but I did it! I am stronger and have much more muscle than before I started. I have not lost one single pound since I started this program but I have gone from a size 8 to a size 4 - WITHOUT LOSING A POUND!!!! I can't believe how…
  • I got HUGE with all of my babies. I have never had multiples but I looked like it! My stretch marks on my hips split open and bled with my first two babies during the last month. My doctor said I have an "umbilical hernia" which means that my belly button was pushed out so far, it would need surgery to be repaired. I once…
  • WO7 was pretty tough for me but I know it will get the results I am looking for so I will stick with it. I enjoyed WO8 and did a better job on the burpees last night. I have not lost ONE POUND since I started this, but took pictures before and halfway through and I am really excited about the results. Another six weeks of…
  • Halfway through week six. It is tough but not impossible. Burpees hurt my right shoulder so I have to be careful with those and sometimes just finish it up with jumping jacks if it is too painful. I have not missed one day yet! I wish that my results were a bit more dramatic but I know I am stronger. Hopefully the last…
  • I tried to put before and after pix but they are not turning out nicely. I will work on this more later.
  • I am 5'2" weighed 163 in February. Currently 131. Would like to get down to 120ish??? Depends on how I look and feel. I am a mom and I am ok with looking like one. I just want to be healthy.
  • Just did WO 5 and I LOVED it! I was scared and it was tough, but what a GREAT workout! My arms are jello right now. THANKS, JILLIAN!!!
  • This is sort of what I was thinking. Our bodies do change. I have three kids and am not having any more, but still expect changes as I age. I like the modesty of the bigger clothes. I don't feel comfortable teachinng first graders in clothes that I feel are tight. Some smaller sizes are made to be snug and more revealing…
  • Thanks for the advice! I think I will get my favorites altered. I am never having another baby. There is no reason why my body SHOULD get big again. New body = new clothes!
  • This past week I was on vacation and stayed in a cabin in the mountains of Colorado. I brought my BR with me and did it faithfully everyday. I am so happy to say that I have now finished phase 1! Tomorrow is my rest day and then I begin phase 2. I am a little nervous because I am going on a conference on Monday and have to…
  • Workout 4 is going to be a love/hate relationship for me. The trees in the beginning were SO tough for me. I have no balance! The part with weights up in the air and getting up and down on your knees - that was not my favorite! I loved the "squirms". I felt like that was a good ab workout. It is my goal to do all of the…
  • Just finished workout 3. Some parts were tough, others were not too tough. Overall, I am much sweatier than the last two weeks. I think this will bring about some real change! I have sweat dripping off of me and IT FEELS GREAT!!!
  • Can you use the same scale you used the first time to compare numbers? I think calipers are more accurate. You must be really fit to have bf% that low!
  • I like that you said how "athletic" you feel. I have never been athletic at all and I think that is a huge victory for me too. I do feel athletic and strong. There is a lot of self improvement that is tied into this exercise thing. I feel like I am WORTH it! That sounds so dumb but everytime I finish a workout, I have so…
  • I am officially done with the first two weeks! Hooray! It was so nice to put those DVDs back in the case and know that I was finished with them. I thought to myself, "Thank you for your services, but you will no longer be needed!" I gained a couple pounds the first week (I told myself it was muscle) and then lost three…
  • I lost 16 pounds the first month and then the next 14 over two months. I would still like to lose another 10-15 pounds. I keep my calories around 1200 a day, drink no soda (which was a once a day thing for me), and use my elliptical machine for 30-45 minutes about five days a week. I burned a lot of fat with my elliptical…
  • Thanks for the info! I checked out the calculator and it says for "extreme weight loss" eat 1112 calories. That is a lower number than I have seen before. I am down to 133 pounds and am only 5'2" but I still have a lot of fat to lose. I was happy that my pants were baggy today until I saw that they were a size 12!!! I…
  • I was just thinking how glad I am that I had to do two workouts a day the first week. Now that I only have to do one, it is a piece of cake! I did one workout in the morning and one at the cardio 1 at night. It was rough, but I made it through and you can too!!!
  • I did 30 day shred twice and had very different experiences each time. At first, I did not do it everyday. I also work full-time and have three kids. It is difficult to make time. I was really out of shape so it was really hard. I couldn't even do all of the jumping jacks, jump ropes, pushups (even modified!) The first…
  • I am so curious about the belly button! They have to make you a new one? Does that feel funny? I am also curious about how others are saying that they develop love handles now. Is it worth the trade? Does it matter when in your weight loss journey the surgery is done? Is it better to wait to reach your goal weight?
  • I have officially started week 2! Got a heart rate monitor today (after my workout). I am a little scared to use it and find out my calories burned is less than I have been logging!
  • Mark day 5 off the list! I did both workout 2 and cardio1! I went shopping with my girls today and bought a new swimsuit (and I actually like it and don't feel like a whale!), two new summer dresses (one is strapless and shows off my new shoulder muscles), 8 pound weights (so I can get even bigger shoulder muscles), and…
  • Thank you for your words bm99 and good luck to you in reaching your goals as well.
  • Just finished day 4! I had my daughter take pictures of me so I would have some "before" pix. I wish I had done that before I lost 30 pounds! I am going to have her take some more after phase 1 and hopefully I will see a difference.
  • Special K cereal with almond milk and a BUNCH of blueberries in it! YUMMY!
  • Thanks for all the support and advice. I did not like their comments but they did not make me want to go back to being their "fluffy mom". If anything it makes me want to work harder so that they don't think moms need to look fat. I want them to be healthy moms when they grow up.
  • Great advice! Thanks so much! I love this!
  • I don't dress differently (except that now my clothes are getting really baggy). I don't think I act differently. I have more energy, but it seems like they would like that...
