  • No cheat days on Keto. New research suggests that consuming glucose while on Keto diet can damage blood vessels. https://news.ok.ubc.ca/2019/03/27/on-the-keto-diet-ditch-the-cheat-day-says-ubc-study/
  • Dont like cauliflower, Brussel sprouts. And seafood. Love fish but not a fan of slimy bottom feeders. And dont like rice cakes. ( does anyone truly like these?!)
  • Sadly no exercise. Spent 2.5 hrs in traffic detours. Calories yes Tracking yes
  • I typically crave a sweet after dinner. Brushing my teeth and having a cup of tea seem to help. And if I still crave a sweet, I have a piece of fruit. I also try not to keep any desserts in the house to tempt me.
  • Feb 6th. Exercise- Hill walk at lunch hour. Stroll in the evening. Calories- Under Tracked yes Fitness goal- to be able to complete 15 pushups.
  • Feb 5 Exercise- Mild yoga in the morning as I was stiff. A very cold 3km brisk walk at lunch time. Calories tracked and within allowance.
  • Light yoga in the morning as I was quite stiff and sore from yesterday's workout. And a 3km walk in the freezing, freezing cold. I figure that should count for extra points;)
  • Hi Everyone. I've fluctuated in my weight for years and have been successful loosing with MFP in the past. Tracking and making choices is key. My goal is the process for lifestyle change. Daily exercise, appropriate portions. I'm also watching sodium levels. I feel like I'm doing well, but the temptations are still hard to…
  • ^this. I have this compulsion to have something snacky or sweet right after dinner. I shouldn't be hungry. I think its more an established habit and boredom. So now go for a walk. Its an hour that I can't be eating! And helps to clear my head.
  • Soups usually and stock the freezer with veggie broth based soups. And if I have the oven on for something else will usually do a batch of roasted veggies.
  • I "thought" I was healthy. Even worked at a health food store for awhile. Now its clear to me that a smoothie and a meal is too many calories. That "organic" chips are still just chips and full of calories. I've always eaten veggies, cooked at home. But I would eat snacks mindlessly, with no regards for portion. MFP has…
  • Where do you get the extracts?
  • Yes These! Also Called woolie Boolies. MEC carries them if that's available in your area
  • Fitness Blender.com has some good pilates videos
  • I walk regularly outdoors for fitness, stress relief, nature experience, social. Weight loss is hopefully also a benefit, but only if my calorie intake is in check. I often walk in the evenings as an alternative to snacking and watching tv so that helps!
  • I hope for your sake too! Oliver is lovely. So are the wineries! at least can visit wineries in smoky conditions. Usually July is OK. August has been challenging for forest fires for a number of years. Pro Tips- Visit Hidden chapel winery. Great people, small winery but great wines. Best beaches are in that area too-…
  • I have a large plot in a community garden and also help look after the elementary school's plot. I have enough space to grow everything I'd want and add in lots of flowers for interest and the bees. I'm in Southern BC- it gets hot here, but we had a summer of intense forest fire smoke and I think that had a negative effect…
  • I discovered a great tip for cucumbers this year from an expert gardener- water cucumbers in the morning. Not the evening. They hate to be cold and wet (they want to be damp and warm). I had a fantastic crop of cucumbers this year
  • O No! Such a fear of mine! Love skiing and wouldn't want anything to come in the way of that. But years ago did have problems with my knees (not from skiing) and was able to ease back into it with cycling and aquafit. Would aquafit be an option for you?
  • Workout today was Fitness Blender Cardio Hiit and Abs. Still a few too many squats after a hard weekend skiing but got it done!
  • After dinner, I tend to crave a sweet. Brushing my teeth, or having a cup of tea work to distract me from needing a sweet. And I find if I go for a walk after dinner that helps fill that time that I could be craving those sweets
  • Had never done any other beach body. Am currently in week 6 of Liift 4. I like only having 4 days working out and am seeing results. But ugh all that enthusiasm and high-fiving at 6 in the morning after burpees makes me want to punch Joel.
  • Love tea. Usually I drink them plain with no sweetners. Favorite is Tazo zen green tea. My preference is for loose leaf teas, herbal such as lemongrass or peppermint. However, I dislike the fruity, or artificial tasting teas
  • I find the worse my diet has been throughout the month, the worse my PMS symptoms will be. And if I give into the cravings the symptoms will be increased as well. Often if we crave something, its because we're deficient in a vitamin or mineral. So I started supplementing with magnesium and have noticed a big improvement in…
  • To be active everyday and get at least 30 min of exercise a day. To read a book or play piano in the evenings instead of mindless time on my phone or TV.
  • Pickles, dried seaweed, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, air popped popcorn, pineapple
  • Soft Boiled egg with toast. Every week day. And often will pack yogurt with berries for an early morning snack after I get to work- consider it an extension of my breakfast. On the weekends-Omelets:)
  • A big fan of fitness blender videos. Its my exercise if I can't get outside or to the gym. But I like the simplified (white background, 1 person) video- its easy to follow even on a small screen. Any of the HIIT titled workouts are good.
  • I'll echo the tips above-track those calories, but find fitness and food that can fit into your life. For example, I live within an easy bike commuting distance to work. So i get 40 minutes of exercise a day with it being very time efficient. I fit in walks and other fitness on my lunch breaks. Know yourself. for example I…
  • One consideration is the setting. A yoga studio will likely be calm, quiet and peaceful. A gym yoga class could have weights banging in the background (arg my university gym put the studio below the weight training area!), a spin class next door etc. If one of your goals is stress relief I know I get closer to that goal by…
