I was a vegetarian for a while, and these were my thoughts exactly. It's just food. Who--besides me--ought to care what I eat or don't eat? Even still these days (not veg anymore) I won't eat crap just because someone's serving it. It's far more important to me to honor my body than to honor the feels of petty peeps. Yes,…

^^this ^^NOT this  I grew up on TNG, came of age to DS9. Never saw much Voyager or any Enterprise. TOS has some nostalgic value, but the production (and some of the writing) of the era comes off as corny to me.

Yeah, i'm super careful passing anyone from behind since the day I gave an "on your left" and the lady walked TO the left, causing a slow-motion crash. :noway: I figure most ppl aren't this clueless, but you never know...

I look for eye contact. If I don't get it, I don't bother smiling or waving. I am more concerned with people getting out of my way when I'm skateboarding. I keep my ultimate b!tchface on when boarding. When peeps (deliberately and willingly) move out of my way they get a smile and wave. I've noticed that runners are more…

viewing live sex i'm sure has a huge impact on the brain and neurochemistry, just like certain other things for which we have strong evolutionarily-programmed responses (e.g. danger, thrill seeking, drugs, food, actually having sex, and nurturance of babies). before the advent of film (when you either had to get permission…

I was not impressed. John Leguizamo always does well, but his talent was a little (disappointingly) wasted here, i thought. I haven't been crazy about a Disney movie since Aladdin. I still have most of the songs in that one memorized.

Ginger is great because you can buy the root and cook with it (medicine in your food) or make an infusion (tea)--or you can just get it already prepared for you as a tea off the shelf. I have not tried dried ginger chews or candies. Traditional Medicinals, Alvita, and Yogi Tea are my favorite tea brands. If i remember…

i've had issues in the past with anxiety and nausea, and ongoing issues with eating enough calories. my tum has always been on the sensitive side. i've found ginger to be MAGICALLY helpful with nausea. these days i eat a quinoa religiously for the protein.

i'm the most active person i know (i could use some different friends, ikr?). i have a couple of friends who will hike trails with me. i can barely get any person to go on a walk with me (the dogs are usually game, but they're all getting old), 0 to go on a run and 0 to go skateboarding. i kind of consider it my job to…
