I totally agree. With my body I know that I'll never be skinny and I'm finally starting to be okay with that because I'd rather be healthy. I think you have the right attitude and as long as your main focus is getting healthy then go for it and never quit!

Not enough. Ever. I try to get to bed by 9:30 because I'm usually up between 5 and 5:30 for work, but that usually doesn't happen so I end up getting 4-6 hours. Those early mornings are rough!

I would suggest eating the workout calories back because your body needs fuel to keep your fat loss going, especially after a workout. Also many will talk about your body going into "starvation mode" if you eat too few calories and/or don't eat back your exercise stuffs. MFP and machines will only give you estimates based…

I always eat breakfast during the week, even if I'm not particularly hungry, because other wise I just burn out early. 6am - Breakfast: Bowl of cereal, eggs if I feel like getting fancy 9am - Snack: banana and carrot today, usually something like that sometime between 11 and 1 - Lunch: usually a salad with chicken and some…

I've been in this situation at previous jobs, boss paying me cash to cover for him and taking money out of the company to pay for personal things like lunches and such. Best thing to do is keep a record of everything so you have a running tally of anything that makes you feel uncomfortable. If he is indited or whatever you…

This is interesting. I don't know if the lack of bread is doing anything but maybe your body is just getting used to it. I'd say give it another week or so and make sure you're eating enough. I usually snack on a banana, an apple, some carrots and a granola bar throughout the day between breakfast and lunch otherwise I…

Awesome article! Always interesting to learn how bodies process different things. My suggestion is red wine or hard alcohol with a diet soft drink [jack and diet coke or gin and diet tonic]. No matter what you drink you'll still get some empty calories so just enjoy it and stick to 1-2 drinks. One skill I've been working…

Maybe 2-3 weeks? Less than a month for sure.

Running more rarely which is probably why I didn't lose as much, but honestly I'm okay with losing a half pound a week. At this point I'd rather get stronger than keep…

I do salads for lunch, but I'm weird so I don't mind eating mostly the same thing each day. I buy 2 heads or red leaf and/or romaine lettuce [whichever is cheaper] and maybe cabbage or green leaf to mix it up. Then 3-4 colored bell peppers, 1 bunch of celery and anything else you might like [carrots are good, but I usually…

I go over a lot as well. I usually try to eat as little packaged stuff as possible, fresh veggies and fruits helps a bunch. The other thing you can do is just drink lots of water to flush it out, that helps me when I've had some heavy days of eating out. Just look for lower sodium options and cook your own food as much as…

Had an indulgent weekend...No real loss this week :/ SW: 210 CW: 190 GW: 185 Weigh in Dates: 4/1: 190 4/8: 189 4/15: 188 4/22: 188 4/28 End of Month (or whatever weigh in days you use) Total weight lost: Just for fun: Spring is a time of renewal and rebirth. The biggest thing for me is a really strong warm up. When I got back into lifting I would jog for 5-10 minutes or do the bike or something, then I'd be sore the next day. Now I jog for at least 20 minutes before I start lifting, really get everything warm and ready. I'll stretch during a workout and have a cool down after…

YAYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just got collar bones last month and it freaked me out, I'm not used to this kind of thing and was wondering how you deal with it. It's weird....

Oooh chocolate dresses! This is a great idea.

Okay, this is now the best idea I've heard.
-
I like this idea....I like it a lot.

I did forget to bring a lunch...

I try to always record my alcohol, because I record everything and I know beer makes me fat. I just drink water when I'm out or if I'm just going to have a long night I just stop caring. You need a break every now and then!

So I know that I have no business being in this thread, but I feel like you should mention your heights as well. I mean, wouldn't the overall height and frame of ones body make the difference between how 19" or 22" thighs look?
-
I have never heard of this, but it sounds awful. Any diet that involves not eating for a day or anything like that puts up a big red flag for me. I'd stick to eating less with each meal and snacking more, but that's just me.

My big goal is to lose enough weight and gain enough muscle to do a pull up. I've never been able to do one, ever.

Initially I had a lot of holiday weight that disappeared when I started tracking my calories [it was right after new years so I also was drinking less] so I lost 5-6 pounds in the first month. I kept a steady loss, though it's been waning recently due to a decrease in exercise. If you keep at it, you'll keep losing until…

Oh man, I just bought a double box of GoLean Crunch! I'll check out the GoLean next time I'm out. FiberOne has some decent cereals but I usually just buy straight bran flakes. Trader Joe's ones are pretty good, not as processed as the Safeway/Kroger ones. They're pretty low calorie, especially with nonfat milk. I'm trying…
