1 - Staying in Hotels with Fitness Centers. Even just getting on an elliptical for 30-40 minutes every other day does wonders, and if you have a full-fledged one that will help a ton. If you don't have one, just go for a jog or do a quick circuit in the hotel room. This one is extra. 2 - Don't Drink. Alcohol will ruin your…

I've got 2 now, one on my chest and one on my left shoulder. I thought about getting one on my right shoulder when I get to my goal weight but now I think I might save it for one of my fitness goals, like benching plates or doing a pull up. I also don't know what I want to get. My left shoulder says "You are who you choose…

Until I'm able to do a pull up I'd have to say burpees and squats in all their varied glory. Personal favorites are the one legged squats and the full burpees with the push-up in the middle and the jump at the end. I'd do suicides but I'm not THAT crazy. Great topic by the way, I'm losing my gym this summer so I'm…

I know Costco has some decent deals on protein powder. Also ebay or Amazon.

It really depends on how long the vacation is. I just took a week off from caring and haven't worked out in 12 days because work got really busy, but I've only gained a pound or 2 by eating without overeating, though I was definitely eating more [and drinking a lot more] than I usually do. One thing that helps is not…

I do that too! Though I don't use DreadMills too often, I usually just jog outside. I'm the only person at my gym that seems to carry a towel and I always wipe down benches and machines after I use them. I don't know if I get weird looks, I don't pay attention, but if so it's probably because I look like I'm dying :P

I like weekly, it's the best way to show overall progress and not the daily fluctuations. I weigh myself kinda obsessively, usually once or twice a day [before the morning shower and sometimes in the evening] but I only record the weight change if it's been consistently lower for 4-5 days in a row.

I'm 28, 6' tall, hoping to lose 1 pound a week and I eat 2000-2100 a day. I'd like to get below 180 and then gain more muscle. Almost there!

You too buddy, sounds like you're off to a great start. Keep at it!

Yeah I'd say eat them back. My general rule is "When hungry, drink water and eat slowly." This post should help: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/818082-exercise-calories-again-wtf It explained things better than I could. Also I don't worry about sodium. I track it and sugar but they both go through the roof when I…

You are about to get a lot of responses about a lot of things...the short anser is no, it's not bad.....BUT......you should probably be eating back those calories. I've heard if you don't eat enough your body won't lose the weight because it holds onto every last calorie. I have literally no research or data to back this…

I make salad every Sunday. 1 or 2 heads of leaf lettuce [green, red, romaine] celery, red bell peppers and whatever else you want with light dressings [Bolthouse dressings are AMAZING.] I put it in a big bowl with a lid or 1-3 gallon size freezer bags so it won't wilt and spoil. Each day I just fill a big container that I…

I don't do cheat days because I don't feel like I'm dieting and I need to "cheat" on it. I generally just eat what's available and try to keep my portions from going crazy. I do have days that I drink or just go over because I'm out with friends or family or am just doing things, but I try not to get hung up on them. I'm…

McDonalds is good but only hot, and they're not real potato so I don't really count them. Wendy's are great because they are perfect for dipping into frosties. Arby's and Jack in the Box have awesome curly fries, and the crisscut fries at Carl's Jr/Hardees are awesomer. Chic-Fil-A has the best waffle fries though. Overall…

I don't fit into any of this criteria so I can't give you first hand experience, but I can say that what you are doing is working and you should continue doing it. If you want to get stronger lifting can help and lifting weights, not machines, will also help you gain strength in the smaller stabilizing muscles that you…

I'd say try being more patient in other parts of your life and eventually it will influence how you are working on this part. One thing that helps me is seeing the little victories and progress so I know that it's happening slowly, but I still am happy that it's happening. There's no secret or magic, you just need to…

I'd imagine being vegan that you will have a lot of carbs and sugar in your diet so I wouldn't worry about it. Everyone already said it: the whole sugars in fruits and such aren't going to make you fat and if you're avoid refined sugars that will help a lot. I go over every day on my sugar because I eat a lot of fruit and…

I usually just log the ingredients and spitball it. I try to overestimate my calories for each ingredient and log all the oils and butters. I've built a few recipes but it's only for stuff I eat all the time. I figure everything is an estimate anyway and the calories you burn each day varies so there's no reason to go…

My biggest one has been getting rid of all my old clothes. This week I finally gave up on a bunch of old sweaters and at the end of May I'm getting rid of all the old dress shirts I have that are way too big on me. I've also bought a bunch of clothes recently that were tight and are now feeling loose! Hopefully after this…

I always weigh myself before and/or after a shower so I'm usually naked anyway and I'm a bit of a numbers freak so I like the slightly more accurate reading. I think the biggest thing is to use the same scale for each weigh in as they all differ slightly. You can always just deduct a pound for your clothes if you want, or…

One thing that helped me stop the habit of eating when I'm bored is drinking water, a LOT of water. When I wake up in the morning I drink a big glass first thing, like 16oz, then I drink another glass right before I start eating breakfast. This not only fills you up and keeps you hydrated but can help with digestion, and…

Super busy in May and looking forward to the school year ending June 1st. I know the stress is part of the weight loss…

More than likely, they're common for that. Gloves can help!

I came up with it way back in high school because I always considered myself odd and play drums, sometimes in odd time signatures. I also like the ddd because it makes the words flow together a little.

When I go over I just forget about it. If you are hungry you should eat. One thing that will help is drinking more water, that will help keep you full and flush out the extra salt from the TB burritos. Main thing is don't stress about it, stress only leads to anger, which leads to hunger, which leads to the dark side :P…

Your plan sounds fine, eat a filling lunch and just say you're not hungry, or just take 1 sandwich and eat the meat but not the bread, no cheese, or whatever is going to fit into your diet choices better. I just usually take protein over carbs whenever possible.

I know what you mean, I get comments when I go out to lunch and only eat half of a burger or something like that. Best thing to do is just smile and say "that's great that it works for you, this is what works for me." Or just don't say anything. If people are making comments sometimes they're just saying things to say…

I like this! I think I'll get a new suit after this summer when I reach my goal of being under 180 [my old ones don't fit anymore] and when I can finally do a pull up I'll get my next tattoo.
