That's how I started, with the treadmill and running intervals until I could stretch the time length... Then I started focusing on distance.

1: first one, a copyright with MCMLXXXIV between my shoulderblades- born in 1984, and I'm an original - got it on my 18th birthday as a gift. 2: crown around my right ankle - My name means princess, so I have to remember I deserve to be treated as such. 3: question mark on my right foot - Life is a journey, keep…

This happened with me and my boyfriend, we've been together over 7 years now! :)

I'm the same way. It's the worst working at an elementary school where there's little ears, I'll be like "oh shiiiii-ugar."

I loved WW - it was the first thing that clicked for me when I was young. I lost 92 pounds with it, but the problem was that it got so costly. Also, I had a different sense of accountability. Now, I use MFP only because I can use what I learned from WW and apply it to my meals. Both ways worked for me. It's about what…

It's one of the most hardest and weirdest, yet most exciting, ride of your life. It's common sense how to do things, but it's not easy - if it were easy, we'd have a lot less big people around here.

my head just exploded. Sadly, it will never happen. :(

Now it's time to figure out what YOU want to do for you. Yes, he could be a part of the reason why you get started, but the end goal is up to you and for you. <3 I hope you get sorted out soon.

Is it the carbonation you're craving? For me, that's usually the issue. When I first started losing weight, I was HOOKED on Mt. Dew. So what I did was if I drank a can of Mt. Dew, I had to drink a tall glass of water afterwards. Eventually I got used to the water, I switched it up with plain water or crystal lite in my…

It's good to know there are people like me out there. I often find myself ranting at the misuse of the apostrophe: "Ricks roofing's - what? the roofing cannot OWN things! What is wrong with you people?!"

Oh, I hear you. I see people suggesting Dark Chocolate - I absolutely hate dark chocolate, I've tried and tried. What I do is just fit in the sweets in my calorie log. I usually have something sweet everyday, but I don't have the same sweet thing so I don't feel deprived. Also, it's all about moderation. I look at the…

Ha! Then demand that he use "their", "they're", and "there" properly.

You had me at "fairly disinterested misanthrope."

I was told the same as what Melaniecheeks said - I only do my running on tuesday, thursday, and one fo the days on the weekend.
-
That's what happened in my half-marathon, I messed up on my phone, I was trying to ignore a call and stopped my runkeeper. So I had to stop and fix it, went back to run and the cramps just would not let me. So I had to walk about 100 feet, then get back into running - it was my last mile too!

I'm allowing myself to bingewatch only when I workout. >.> BUT, Battlestar Galatica Breaking Bad Downton Abbey Firefly Secrets of American Teenager (don't judge!) Hemlock Grove Sons of Anarchy right now - almost done, I'm going to need a new show to watch next.
-
Ha, pretty much a geek myself. And proud.
-
Ah! I hope you reach this goal! <3

I woke up this morning with some Doctor Horrible in my head. ... And I need to watch the Guild next!

Kynsie - I do understand GERD and Ulcers. I have GERD, and possible gallbladder inflammation right now. It's not so much fun to eat, or try to eat, when stomachs act up.
-
With an ulcer and GERD, it definitely is hard to "Eat more" without triggering either stomach issues. Do try to add snacks, they could be peanut butter sandwiches on whole grain bread. I applaud you for trying to do it in a healthy way, one of my f riends just ate what I ate - just more of it on top of protien shakes that…

That's definitely me with my knees, I can get in long runs, good workout sessions, then the next day, I can't be bothered because they hurt so bad simply because I crouched down one time. As for the little things about you, they definitely are interesting! I like to fool around with photoshop, but I'm nowhere as incredibly…

It's okay to cry, he has to see it. I bawled my eyes out in front of him one time, and only one time, the rest of the time, I went to my friends. Talk with your friends, they will be your support system. Do not take him back, like Suiteblooms said.
-
I had to do something similiar, but luckily it was my house. I told him point blank: "I'm looking for a real relationship, we are not 13 year olds. You are moving out today because you decided to cheat." Like SnuggleSmacks says, don't let him waste your time.
-
"So... what were you thinking doing so-and-so?" Then kick him out. :)
-
For me, the logging keeps me accountable, even if I eyeball just about everything now. Like you said, it's easier now once you know how to eat properly, workout, and so forth. I know when I stop logging, I don't really pay as much attention to what I eat/do.

For me, I ran my first one in March. I did a lot of cross-training because the last few years when I trained with only running, I ended up hurting myself. What I did was run about 9-10 miles for my long run - usually on a saturday or sunday, then broke up that 9-10 miles for the week, usually tuesdays and thursdays. So it…
