I'm 5'4" and I never thought I was short. :grumble: I guess being taller than my mom and my grandmother gave me extra confidence. I saw somewhere the height range for petite and thought it was a typo. Then I see everyone here talking about it being short. I guess I'll stop the denial. Hello my name is Donna and I'm short.…

I agree. When he first appeared on the Oprah show he was following sound practical medical advice. Now he is a sounding board for his advertisers. He will put it on his show and debate about whether it works or not, without discussing the serious negative consequenses. I wonder if he would recommend half this stuff to his…

Nine months.  Having a baby will do that.

I didn't know the 30 min rule. I dont' think my gym has it because my personal trainer told me to do an hour on the elliptical. He works for the gym, so I would think he would know. I do feel bad though the other day two girls were about to hop on ellipticals, I told them I would be off in 2 minutes if they wanted to hang…

Good job!! Keep up the good work and thanks for sharing.

All of it. The rollerskating, the t tops, the hanging out in the street with your friends. Pegged acid washed jeans, big hair, freedom to screw up and learning the hard way to fix it, but not have it ruin your life forever. Friends and neighbors, being home, instead of always on the go. Pop rocks, cabbage patch kids,…

But what about allot? Maybe they miss typed and forgot an l. Just sayin.

I swear I thought I was the only one. I hate it, but is happens when I'm in step class. I can honestly say I would rather that than the BO, smoke or overly perfumed individual. At least the gas smell goes away pretty quickly.

I change my answer. The fit bit is not a hrm, (went to the website and did more research) it is a suped up pedometer and only a calorie guestimator. I would get a HRM and wear it when you do any exercising.
-
No you don't need a HRM. I thought a fit bit was a HRM, just an upscale one that you whear all the time. I just googled it and it does, it tracks everything. I would stick with that.
-
I agree with the logic. ^^^^^^
-
Good job!! I can't wait to hear what the dr says too. Best wishes

Are you sure you are not getting enough? It is really hard to avoid sodium. I would check with your doctor and see if there is a medical issue that your body requires more sodium and that there isn't another reason your hair is falling out. I know that can happen if you are a vegetarian and are missing out on a lot of…

Those are great results. Best wishes

Good job!! Those are awesome results.

I know it is really, really hard, but dont' let it get to you. When you start a new routine and you use more mucsles, your muscles start to retain water in order to help them heal. I am suspecting the kettlebell, helping you build muscle and causing them to retain water. It will get better

It depends on the HRM. Most HRM are not meant to be worn all day. They are only supposed to be worn during workouts. If you have the high tech FIT Bit ones, those are meant to be worn all day, but that would give you your total calorie burn for the day and if you ate all of them you would stay the same (theoretically of…

I started out with a goal of 1lb a week, followed the site and for the first month I still lost 2+ lbs a week. I did WW before and did not have as much success as I have had with this. increase your calories, make sure you eat them. You can't really bank them like you could ww points, but if do have special plans and need…

I agree with this. I want to add: I have been married 18 years and my husbands family is a bit on the, lets just say, "out there side" It always takes 2 yess' and one no. I would talk to your fiance and see what he says. If he says no, then you just need to tell your mom "NO." Tell her you spent the money, you need the…

If you open up your diary, we can only see your diary. (the foods you eat and at the bottom it will show the amount calorie burn you entered.) There could be a number of things going on You could be over or under estimating your calories you eat you could be over or understimating the calories you burn while working out.…

I am sooooooo all over this. Thanks for the tip.

Actually she is not. I had read somewhere a long time ago that that does help. (blotting all the grease off the top of the pizza.) I do the same thing with soup and it cuts down on the sodium. I still count the same amount of calories for both, but they are little changes that add up and make a difference. Happy blotting.…

I think that these men have good points if you were talking about a normal person here. I think if you personal trainer is even puzzled, then maybe you should talk to your doctor and see if there are resourses out there for you. When I read your first post I immediatly thought there was something hormonally wrong and was…

If it is causing you that much pain and he doesn't suggest a way to fix it, Surgical or non invasive, (there may be other options) I would find another dr. That is not normal, but there are a lot of other ways to treat cysts, so look at other options before surgery if you can. Best wishes and I hope you feel better soon.

It's all about habits. It takes 30 days to make a habit, but it also takes 30 days to break a habit. You need to take the next 30 days and work on making it a habit again. It won't come naturally, so maybe you need to reward yourself for doing that. It's hard, but it will be sooooo worth it.

I have heard that too. That is what I go by and at my 4.5 mph pace I call it running.

That's awesome. Keep up the good work, and thanks for sharing.

Seeing how you have a health condition, I would check with your doctor and make sure the medications you are on don't cause weight gain. Especially if they have recenlty changed your medications. I don't know much about epilesy or syncope, but maybe you ask the dr if there is a local support group with local people that…
