I KNEW IT!

Alcohol swabs/pads. Dries the sucker right up.

I think it's normal to have one breast larger. If it's too noticeable to you, train yourself to be ambidextrous. Start using your non-dominant arm for more things (opening doors, making the bed, putting away laundry, picking up groceries). Also if you're using a bar for weight lifting, go for dumbbells instead to even the…

Fresh fruit (berries, cherries, apples, mangoes, etc.) Fresh veggies (celery, broccoli, kale, spinach, etc.) Lean meats (chicken thigh, chicken breast, fish, turkey, lean steak, pork chops, etc) Healthy fats (avocado, olive oil, olives, nuts) Whole carbs (sweet potato, oatmeal, wheat bran) There are endless examples. You…

^A personal observation which you are entitled to make. As to why you would share a negative opinion on a thread meant for fun socialization, well, I have a few 'observations' regarding that as well. 1) most of your thread comments are cynical and snide regardless of the topic and of who you're talking to. 2) Your behavior…

I've never been more energetic or lean than when I ate fewer carbs. I've known from previous lectures in biology and anthropology classes that humans are not designed to handle large quantities of wheat-and-grain products. In fact, today I re-started my low-carb commitment. It's really tough, considering that my friends…

I just went on a midnight run in the rain in a white t-shirt. Enjoy the image in your brain.

If I'm going as fast as possible and my heart feels like it's about to explode, it's vigorous. If I'm going at a steady pace where I don't feel like I NEED to stop to breathe, then it's moderate. Or, if I can talk while working out, it's moderate.

I accept those props and return them whole-heartedly to those fine gentlemen who sweat it out with pride.

Burpees with a tricep pushup (elbows parallel to ribcage)

Strength training with either your bodyweight or medium-heavy weights. Tricep exercises are especially useful for tightening the 'bat wings' but you'll want to exercise every muscle group, including the chest and back, in order to get that proportional and sexy upper-body look. Here are some ideas for if you don't have…

It takes at least two days a week of working a muscle group in order to maintain muscle. If you decrease your strength training, your muscles will atrophy. That's just how it works. Seeing as you do relatively few reps of extremely light weights, you are at no risk of gaining bulk. Frankly, I'd recommend increasing the…

The default on here is a minimum, not a maximum. You should go over. Even double would be okay.

Billy Blanks Tae Bo.... 'celebrity fit' and 'cardio' are the ones I do when I'm at home. Of course, I'm cheap, so I get them off of youtube...

It basically sounds like an hour-long ballet warm-up. I danced for years, but even then I had to practice calisthenics and get additional cardio at home so that I'd be more in-shape for the classes. Granted, I've never been to a pure barre class so perhaps it's a bit more intense than the warm-ups I'm used to. **Edit: I…

"Just do it!" There's nothing better than starting something that seems ridiculous and then finishing it. Be proud! You can do this!

What exercises hurt your foot? I imagine that the upper body/core exercises would be fairly easy, since you don't use your feet. There are also a plethora of strength training exercises to target your lower body that would probably not affect that bone so much. I would recommend a personal trainer to help you through this.…

If you want to apologize, shouldn't you leave it on the forum threads themselves? This seems like a rather disingenuous way to ask forgiveness, as there's little to no guarantee that the people who may/may not have been offended will read it. Granted, I don't know what posts you've been on or what you're apologizing for.…

Okay, from experience, this is what has given me the most effective results: FULL BODY STRENGTH TRAINING. Cardio is good for calorie burn, but it's not going to give you that 'tight' feeling. Here's a routine: 2 rounds of: 20 squats 20 bent over rows 20 deadlifts 1 round of: 20 lunges 20 bicep curls 20 lunges 20 upright…

Haha! This be the truth! But it feels kind of demeaning. I suppose I feel judged more than anything. I mean, there's nothing fascinating about someone doing the elliptical for an hour.
-
Add strength training. Even the 'toning' exercises in some zumba classes are really ineffective as far as body composition goes.
-
NICE! You did good.

I think the one-muscle-group-per-week thing is very dated info. The total body workouts tend to limit one or two exercises per muscle group, so you can do them every other day without worrying about over-training.

When I first started weight-lifting, I bulked up quite a bit without gaining an ounce. After a couple weeks the bulk went back down, but I still continued to gain strength. Dunno if this is the case for you, but you may want to give it time. Otherwise, just try different sizes of shirts to see what's most…

Ideally: You want to eat a net of 1200 calories every day. That means eating 1500 calories when you burn 300, or even eating 2000 calories if you burn 800 working out. Reality: Not every day is going to be 'perfect'. And not every food you log will be an accurate calorie count. Often people under-estimate how much food…

I'll add any savory spices to steamed veggies, vegetable stir-fries, or even salads.

I wish I had a perfect answer for this, but then I wouldn't need this site. There are hundreds of coping mechanisms, many of which I have tried, but they only work for as long as I have willpower. When the stress comes, my mind blanks on every single one. The best thing to do: avoid trigger foods. Anything delicious that…

Become an early riser. That's the best time to steal whatever equipment you want. If I have 8am classes and know I won't have time for the gym in the afternoon, I get my *kitten* out of bed at 5:30am, get to the gym by 6:00, warm up 15 minutes, cardio 30 minutes, weights 30 minutes, and I'm out by 7:15am. Then I have 45…

Yeah... coffee has done this to me in the past, but the light-headedness is new. I also have not had bowel problems for a while when drinking coffee, but I might've been pushing it with the primo-sized iced coffee. And... cancelling my class is out of the question. My workplace is very strict about the rules: I have to…

I don't drink alcohol, luckily. But I can't stand gatorade or powerade. I guess I'll just try to re-hydrate and see if that helps.
