I keep a picture of me at my biggest on my fridge to get me to think about why I'm opening the fridge. Am I bored? or Actually hungry? I also buy a pair of jeans 1 size too small to measure my progress when the scale isn't budging.

Walk for at least an hour. Sunday is my rest day, so that's the only exercise I will do. And today is my weigh-in day, I'm down 2.8 pounds since last Sunday. 5/18: 184.2 5/25: 181.4

Jetta, How long have you been dealing with back issues, if you don't mind sharing? I had micro decompression surgery (L5/S1) in 2003. It really motivated me at the time to start exercising and to lose my post baby weight. Unfortunately I have really let my weight and fitness slip the last few years. Losing weight and a…

Hello everyone. My name is Jetta and I live in MD. I'm 44 and have 4 adult children. It was so much easier to lose weight before I hit my mid 30s, been a struggle ever since. Started MFP in Jan 2013 and slowly lost 38 pounds, with my weight going up and down. I've tried Akins, Weight Watchers, Center for Medical Weight…

Thanks Micqs. Just doing cardio for now, not ready to start weight training yet. I think I'm going to move to more intense cardio though. Good luck with the planning. I took the easy way out and went with an all-inclusive venue after I saw all the things I would have to pull together planning it myself. My hat off to you,…

Hello Everyone! Just joining. Getting married late August. I've lost 30 pounds since Jan and need to lose another 30. The first 30 weren't that tough but now I'm fizzing out, losing my motivation and will power. With 8 months to go, I'm getting worried now because I need to lose and tone up and I know there is no…

That's fantastic! Look for plan-friendly recipes to keep things interesting. Its makes so much easier to stick with it if you don't allow things to get boring. Keep up the good work!

I've haven't been able to do a serious workout yet. Haven't had the energy. I have noticed that the more I exercise, the slower I lose. It's very strange. For now I'm enjoying not needing a serious workout. I know this will not last and once I reach my weight loss goal, I will start a fitness boot camp.

Congrats! Looking forward to joining you. I'm down 20 since starting medifast and 34 left to go!

My plan is to stay within my calorie and carbs goal and will workout 3 times per week. I will also read two books on nutrition, wellness and weight loss to help me figure out how I let myself get to such an unhealthy place and how not to go back there again.
